Welcome to the 129th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)
I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.
The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.
The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)
Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.
I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:
Only one entry (photo) per person per round.
The photo must be yours and not older than one week.
Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.
You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.
Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.
I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)
To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:
Here in Central Europe, the weather has been very hot and dry again lately so walks in nature are doable either early in the morning (which is not for me as I´m definitely the night owl type of person :D) or in the evening when the sun is not so strong anymore. Two days ago, on Tuesday, I went for a little evening walk in the beautiful Prokop Valley here in Prague, Czech Republic. I know you probably cannot tell by the picture but it was already around 7 P.M. when I was exploring this little creek that meanders through the picturesque valley. I took a bunch of photos of the creek and after some basic photo editing, this one turned out to be the most interesting, at least to me :)

Hi @phortun. After a long time, I was going to send a photo to your contest yesterday. It didn't work out, so I'm adding a photo today :-) I haven't been able to go out properly for a few days now, but I at least treat myself to small evening walks. On the one yesterday, I managed to photograph a pretty decent sunset. As almost every time, I take photos in the surroundings of České Budějovice, Czech Republic (28.07.2022 around 20:00 CET).

Here is my entry. While I was cutting a rosebush in our garden (Vienna, Austria), just 3h ago, I stumbled over this creature. It jumped off the rosebush and landed on another plant, patiently allowing to take a picture.
I like the texture of its body. How well disguised it is as a leaf, isn´t it.

Hello, here my entry
Traveling to the countryside makes me feel a fullness of peace and joy. Especially when we are enjoying a delicious creek, where the cold water runs over your feet. Enjoying it is priceless.

As I have missed round 128, here is my entry to nr.129. I decided to walk later in the afternoon to the Donau Auen National Park (Vienna) yesterday which is not far away from our flat. The water area is my favorite place because it is simply wonderful to be here. By just sitting on a trunk, one can be lucky to see the ducks or swans swaying on the water. I didn't see any maybe it was just too hot... I made a series of photos and this entry is one of them... Have a lovely Thursday!

Is there a way I can curate to tipu? I understand that maybe there's a way to send hive somewhere and then tipu upvoting the content? Well, sorry if I'm talking non sense but I thought it's not a bad idea to ask.
Hey, I suppose this question was for me :) TipU is a curation project on Hive where the official TipU curators can distribute a certain number of TipU votes every day. The current list of the curators is here: https://tipu.online/hive_curators We are also allowed to use TipU votes on our own content but the self curation limit is 10% max. You might also want to know if you could be a TipU curator too. That´s something I don´t know actually but you can ask @cardboard who is the TipU founder, I believe :)
I don't really want to be a curator, because honestly I dont have time...and its out of discussion to auto vote my posts. So no.
I asked you (Yes, YOU, because I saw that you use it) because recently I started a community and I'm thinking that maybe this will grow and I dont have much in my wallet to support you know? And if I'll have good content, maybe I can use tipu.

I see. We can do it like it. Since you don´t have the time to be an official TipU curator and curate stuff every day, you can just stop by my blog with a comment where you put the links for the posts from your new community that you would like to be upvoted by TipU and I will send the votes there :) Could be a win win situation as it´s sometimes quite time consuming to look for good posts to be curated by TipU so this would save me some time while giving the support where you need it. What do you think about it?

I would like to take part too 😎.
This is our stroll to a park in our city. The park is called "Deutsch-Französischer Garten", it's a mutual park of French and Germans 😊,located at the border.
A very nice place to have a stroll. When we were still living in the city center 10 years ago, we went there rather often. But now we rarely go there because the transportation is rather inconvenient as we have no car.
There is no direct route with the bus, we need to change busses, so despite not being so far it would take too long to go there.
It is especially inconvenient recently since there are some roadworks and it causes many delays and sometimes the bus didn't even manage to come at all and let the people waiting for nearly an hour at the bus stop 😅.
But well... Our little one still had fun anyway even if she got exhausted and sweat so much in the end.

Ow... I just noticed that the pictures are indeed not too old, neverthless already older than 7 days, so let's just forget it. Just take it as I am sharing our stroll, no need to put it on the quiz :-D.
I am not working 7 to 5 anymore for so long, so that I always lost track of dates and days hahahaha.

This picture is made during our stroll yesterday. Our village has a little forest and there are few ranches where few beautiful horses, little pony and even donkeys are raised in them. There are also sheeps and goats. We love to have a stroll and say hello to those animals, they would always come near to the fences when we come by!
It's very near to our neighbourhood so we actually come there nearly every week.
Location is Saarbrücken, south-west Germany.
