We were heading off for our morning walk down the road in a direction we hadn't been in for awhile when I noticed the tremendous growth of wildflowers in our neighbor's field. A perfect photo op! There were clouds building in the sky and just enough covering on the sun to make for good lighting.
I entered right into the field and every direction I turned there were more and more beautiful scenes! It was hard to narrow it down but I chose the ones that really popped for me and I hope they do the same for you.
This was the view to the North...

Here is an even closer look of that grass seed head that has a pink tinge. Along with it was a lovely patch of pussytoes in bloom.

The pussytoe blooms added a nice variation among the yarrow and fleabane.

Let's take a closer look at some of the main flowers that made up the wildflower meadow...
The one I delighted in most was the purple flowered fleabane -

The yarrow was growing well in the field scattering it's lovely white among the other wildflowers.

There was another flower that looked like the fleabane but had whitish colored flowers that were a bit smaller than the purple colored ones. You can see the comparison in the photo below

In among all these wildflowers there were lots of busy pollinators. I got a shot of one on the fleabane Flower.

I spent hours in the wildflower meadow and could have stayed even longer but the clouds were becoming threatening so I headed home and can come back another day to see what's new in the wildflower meadow!
I hope you enjoyed this and will come back for even more wildflowers from around my home in the Boreal Forest of Saskatchewan, Canada!

That's really amazing, @porters. What a sea of wildflowers! It's really quite breathtaking. The camera angles are fun too. I've never heard of pusstoes. Is that the cutest name ever for a flower, or what?
Thanks for sharing!

Nice and green with some colours around. Wonder if it was going to have rain coming because looks a bit cloudy.

The clouds were quite dramatic in "Young Spruce Growing Among the Wildflowers"! Such a lovely expanse of wildflowers to enjoy. :))
