I am an Acehnese who has migrated to the city of Medan, North Sumatra. At the beginning of January 2020, I was determined to try my luck in the city, because in my area it is very difficult to get a job, while our family needs adequate money and economy, but in my hometown, thinking does not work can download bright ideas in obtaining an increase in the economy, meaning that my mind is stiff and can't think about it. So when it came my intention to venture into the big city.
Precisely on the 27th of Januari 2020, I went to try my luck at the destination, with the hope of getting a glimmer of hope that I would have a better fate. For more than one month in the city of Medan I did not get any work because of the lack of relations for me to work or trade in the city, so the existing pocket money was slowly running out. Entering the second month at the end I started to get a little hope, namely getting a job from a friend who works as a shop assistant who is engaged in selling apparel.
To be exact, at the end of February I was accepted as an assistant for a clothing store selling clothes with a salary of Rp. 1,500,000 per month, if the salary is calculated, it is only enough for daily meals. But my fate was even more unfortunate because entering the beginning of March the city of Medan was hit by a disaster in the form of the Covid19 disease outbreak and automatically I did not have a job, because every activity was stopped with the term Lockdown. Long story short, I was returned to my native country, Aceh.
At the end of March I was in my city with an increasingly tense condition due to the bias of the Corona virus and we were grateful to God because our family was always healthy and clean from the Covid19 disease.
Even though the economy is getting worse but we are still able to endure a life that is so difficult, my mind is stuck and can't do anything about it, so that our life is entrusted to the Almighty God.
In the middle of March, my life became more difficult because of the impact of Covid19, so I often isolated myself and went to coastal areas and quiet locations where there was a wide view, I often visited the reservoir location which is located in one of the fishing villages of Lhokseumawe City, the people around it are nicknamed as a quiet location, if I look at that location it really matches my condition before. Finally, the reservoir location (shown in the picture) became my favorite place while my mind was in chaos.
When I was in the reservoir area, it felt like my heart was screaming and crying in my heart because I was reminded of an uncertain fate. In that daydream, I saw the still water in the reservoir and it was as if nature was telling me "Look at every Keuramba (place to keep saltwater fish) who is rejoicing awaiting your arrival." So, God accidentally gave me a new idea that I got suddenly, to get a new job with the technique of buying fish and then selling it back to every traditional market in our area, meaning that I got the opportunity to trade fish by supplying supplies to buyers at every shop and community in need.
In the midst of the Covid19 situation, good fortune befell me, because when everyone did a Lockdown, I was moved to tie up a relationship with the Keuramba fishermen to work together in the trade sector, in short, in the midst of a tense atmosphere (Covid19) I managed to manage or supply fish needs to people or rice stalls that need fresh fish, I make a good profit from that job, because the Keuramba fishermen entrust me to be able to distribute fish to traditional markets.
My fate changed amid Covid19, when people stayed at home, I myself managed to do the job. Working in this field is very interesting and fun because besides making money to improve the economy, I can always enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the reservoir by witnessing the beautiful and amazing nature. The working has a short period of time in one day for 4 hours, with the distribution of 1 hour in the local reservoir and another 3 hours of supplying merchandise to all traditional markets and several rice stalls located in Lhokseumawe City, Aceh.
God has opened the eyes of my heart through amazing nature to be precise in an unexpected location so far, it turns out that this extraordinary nature helps me in giving birth to new ideas in achieving success.
To this day, when you read this article, it can be said that my fate has changed from sadness to pleasure through the wonderful nature here in the reservoir area of Lhokseumawe city. Nature has pushed me to work. So that I have become a person who has a job in this short civilization.
Nature is very amazing in hinting something of value to humans......
