You know, here in the north we have very low skies. It's true, every time it seems that you can touch the clouds with your hand. Maybe it's a tricky exchange.
Nature has not rewarded these lands with lush vegetation and a bright landscape. The eye has nothing to catch. Maybe we got such a low sky as compensation. So that we feel a little closer to such an unattainable, constantly changing, and diverse weightless canvas of an invisible artist and could see his paintings in all the small details.
Well, that's why you're here today, my friend, at night in the middle of endless hills covered with moss and stones.
My old SUV climbs the last hill before the tundra plains and the whole world turns upside down... here she is…

You came here for her today (tonight). To see her in the low heavens. Gotcha beauty! Or is it you who got caught? Maybe these heavens are so close to the earth so that the heavenly wanderers can get a closer look at us, people, look into our souls.
All your thoughts are erased from your head, replaced by its noble and eternal appearance. The silence inside you. But the angle changes and the silence in your mind begins to fill. No, not with thoughts, but with feelings and emotions. By you, when you were a careless child.

You see how your childhood dream is coming true in front of you. Here it is, the road to the Moon!
All you need is run faster than the wind along this road and you will find yourself there. And all the fantasies of you 9 years old about this eternal companion of the earth will come true.
But you're too old and can't run so fast. Yes, your legs have become faster, your muscles are stronger and your lungs are able to absorb cubic meters of air, but it doesn't matter, it's not that. To catch up with the moon, you don't need the strength of an adult, you need the laughter of a child coming from a carefree heart. The laughter of the child that you were.
While you're trying to get rid of all the worries, the moment is lost. This boy running towards his dream there, on the path, dissolves like a haze, and the Moon begins to move away, returning to its heavens.

When you get to the end of the trail you realize that she's gone.
Today she is waiting for a grandiose performance - a lunar eclipse. The earth stands between her and her older burning brother, casting a shadow on its silver surface. Well, probably people really shouldn't shouldn't see her fading so close...

Beautiful photos, Northerner. They all are great with the moon peeking over the hill and I especially love the one with the path going directly to the moon.
This song came into mind when I saw that big gorgeous moon. A song about Waylon Jennings sung by Jessie Colter titled, “You Hung The Moon.”
A beautiful song. I had a strange effect, it's in the country style so it seems to me that my moon has moved from the north somewhere to the midwest or to the prairies 😅
Yeah, moonstruck and playing the music here in Eastern Canada. 😆
