Hello dear knitting friends of the world, I tell you that yesterday I was very busy because we were accompanying Maria Eugenia to the hospital, since Sunday she was in pain but did not finish breaking water. At about 3 o'clock in the morning she had leaked some fluid but the doctors said it was not yet time and sent us back to the house. It was not until 12 noon when our beautiful Andrea Valentina finally arrived to this world, thank God she was born well and is a healthy, big and very beautiful girl.

Hola apreciadas amigas tejedoras del mundo, les cuento que ayer estuve muy ocupada porque estuvimos acompañando a María Eugenia para el hospital, desde el día domingo estuvo con los dolores pero no terminaba de romper fuente. Como a las 3 de la mañana había botado un poco de líquido pero los medico dijeron que aún no era tiempo y nos enviaron nuevamente a la casa. No fue sino hasta las 12 del mediodía cuando llegó por fin a este mundo nuestra bella Andrea Valentina, gracias a Dios nació con bien y es una niña sana, grande y muy hermosa.

As you may remember a few days ago I have been making her a knitted dress and I have shown you the step by step, I also told you that she is the granddaughter of my friend Carmen (who has already gone to heaven) and I know that from there she is celebrating with us this birth.

Como recordaran hace unos días le vengo elaborando un vestido tejido y les he presentado el paso a paso, también les conté que ella es nieta de mi amiga Carmen (quien ya partió hacia el cielo) y yo sé que desde allá está celebrando junto a nosotros este nacimiento.

I sent my gift a few days ago to Maria Eugenia and she told me that she loved it and that she will use it when they take the baby out of the hospital, I am very happy because I am very proud that she has selected my dress for that special moment.

Yo le envié hace unos días mi regalo a María Eugenia y me dijo que le había encantado y que lo va a utilizar cuando saquen a la niña del hospital, estoy muy contenta porque es para mí un orgullo que haya seleccionado mi vestido para ese momento tan especial.

Today I'm going to show you the whole outfit and I'm also going to give you the step by step instructions.

El día de hoy vengo a mostrarles todo el conjunto completo y también les voy a dar el paso a paso

Materials we are going to use

Materiales que vamos a utilizar

- Red gold spider weaving yarn - White knitting yarn (Colombian) - Knitting needle # 2 m.m - Satin ribbon

Aguja de tejer # 2 m.m - Cinta de raso

Step by step 🍨 Paso a paso

1st round. We knit 90 chains + 3, then knit a sequence of 3 normal high stitches and an increase in the next base stitch. We repeat like this for the whole round. 2nd row. We knit 4 double crochet and one increase, the increases are two double crochets in the same base stitch. 3rd row. We knit 5 double crochet and one increase. 4th row. We knit 6 double crochet and one increase. 5th row. We knit 7 double crochet and an increase. 6th row. We knit 8 double crochet and an increase. 7th row. We knit 9 double crochet and an increase.

1ª vuelta. Tejemos 90 cadenas + 3, luego hacemos una secuencia de 3 puntos altos normales y un aumento en el siguiente punto base. Repetimos así durante toda la vuelta. 2ª vuelta. Tejemos 4 puntos altos y un aumento, los aumentos son dos puntos altos en el mismo punto base. 3ª vuelta. Tejemos 5 puntos altos y un aumento. 4ª vuelta. Tejamos 6 puntos altos y un aumento. 5ª vuelta. Tejamos 7 puntos altos y un aumento. 6ta vuelta. Tejemos 8 puntos altos y un aumento. 7ma vuelta. Tejamos 9 puntos altos y un aumento.

8th row. In this round we are going to form the armhole of our sweater. For that we are going to use math by dividing into parts what will be our front, sleeves and back. We knit 35 high stitches, skip 50 base stitches and enter with a high stitch in the base stitch 51. Continue knitting 70 high stitches, skip 50 base stitches and enter with a high stitch in the base stitch 51, we finish this round with 35 high stitches to form the other part of the front. 9th row. We knit one round of high stitches, that is, one high stitch in each base stitch.

8va vuelta. En esta vuelta vamos a formar la sisa de nuestro jersey. Para eso vamos a utilizar la matemática dividiendo en partes lo que será nuestro frente, mangas y espalda. Tejemos 35 puntos altos, saltar 50 puntos base y entrar con un punto alto en el punto base 51. Continuar tejiendo 70 puntos altos, saltar 50 puntos base y entrar con un punto alto en el punto base 51, finalizamos esta vuelta con 35 puntos altos para formar la otra parte del frente. 9na vuelta. Tejemos una vuelta de puntos altos, es decir, un punto alto en cada punto base.

Sleeves 🍦 Mangas:

We start with a purl stitch in the underarm area, we knit 3 chains, skip 3 base stitches and in the fourth base stitch we slip into a purl stitch, repeat the same process until we form several arches, finish that round with a slip stitch.

Comenzamos con un punto raso en la zona de la axila, hacemos 3 cadenetas, nos saltamos 3 puntos base y en el cuarto punto base nos metemos en un punto raso, repetimos el mismo proceso hasta formar varios arcos, terminar esa vuelta con un punto deslizado.

In this row we are going to knit a fan inside the first ring we made in the previous row, that is, we knit 3 double crochet, a chain stitch and 3 double crochet stitches, then in the next ring we knit a double crochet and then in the next ring we knit another fan and so we repeat the same process as shown in the picture. I did a total of 15 rounds.

En esta vuelta vamos a tejer un abanico metidos dentro del primer aro que hicimos en la vuelta anterior, es decir, tejemos 3 puntos altos, una cadeneta y 3 puntos altos, luego en la siguiente aro tejemos un punto alto y luego en el siguiente aro tejemos otro abanico y así repetimos el mismo proceso como se ve en la imagen. Yo hice un total de 15 vueltas.

To finish we make hoops all around the contour as we did in the sleeves, then I made a decoration with fans all around the contour. If you like you can extend down the sweater. You can decorate with ribbons, flowers or whatever you want.

Para finalizar realizamos aros por todo el contorno así como lo hicimos en las mangas, luego hice una decoración con abanicos por todo el contorno. Si gustas puedes alargar hacia abajo el jersey. Puedes decorar con cintas, flores o lo que más desees.
