Como les mencioné en el post pasado, el dúo dinámico ha estado haciendo algunas prendas por encargo, cosa que nos llena de satisfacción, porque es la confirmación de que nuestro trabajo es valorado y del agrado de nuestros clientes. Una cosa importante en este oficio es respetar el gusto de nuestros clientes, a veces queremos o tenemos la intención de hacer las cosas a nuestra manera, sin embargo, en nuestro caso somos muy cuidadosos de hacer exactamente el modelo que se nos pide hacer.
As I mentioned in the last post, the dynamic duo has been making some garments to order, which fills us with satisfaction, because it is the confirmation that our work is valued and liked by our customers. An important thing in this trade is to respect the taste of our customers, sometimes we want or intend to do things our way, however, in our case we are very careful to make exactly the model that we are asked to make.
Cuando complacemos a nuestra clientela estamos dándole esa garantía de confiabilidad, ese respeto que merecen y cumplimos cabalmente con el deseo de hacer las cosas según sus requerimientos. Aunque en ocasiones podemos hacer sugerencias, las cuales son bien recibidas y aceptadas.
When we please our clientele we are giving them that guarantee of reliability, that respect they deserve and we fully comply with the desire to do things according to their requirements. Although sometimes we can make suggestions, which are well received and accepted.
En esta ocasión le vamos a mostrar una franela muy particular, pues tiene un diseño bastante sencillo pero a la vez requiere de algunos cortes bien específicos, en nuestro caso primera vez que hacemos un tipo de franela. Afortunadamente verán que tenemos la pieza de muestra a la medida de nuestra querida Carolina, eso agiliza y nos facilita el trabajo.
This time we are going to show you a very particular flannel, because it has a very simple design but at the same time it requires some very specific cuts, in our case the first time we make a type of flannel. Fortunately you will see that we have the sample piece to the measure of our dear Carolina, that speeds up and facilitates the work.
Sin embargo, es bastante importante hacer los cortes limpios, tomar las precauciones de darle extensión de los centímetros que se requieran para que la franela quede del mismo largo. Por eso verán en esta imagen unas marcas de 2 cm que es justamente lo que tiene el ruedo y también las mangas.
However, it is very important to make clean cuts, taking precautions to give it the extension of the centimeters that are required for the flannel to be the same length. That is why you will see in this image some 2 cm marks, which is exactly what the hem and sleeves have.
También quería resaltar de esta franela el corte que lleva en la parte de atrás. Cuando recibí la franela manos de Carolina, le pregunté si la quería exactamente igual, me dijo con voz contundentes "sí" por eso van observat que en la parte de atrás lleva ese corte y las mangas son enteras, es decir, no tienen la sisa que por lo general llevan la franelas.
I also wanted to highlight the cut on the back of this flannel. When I received the flannel in Carolina's hands, I asked her if she wanted it exactly the same, she told me with a strong voice "yes" that is why you will notice that in the back it has that cut and the sleeves are full, that is to say, they do not have the armhole that flannels usually have.
Su costura es a nivel del hombro, me parecieron unos detalles muy bonitos la camisa quedó con unos cortes muy limpios y finalmente por aquí se la estoy mostrando casi terminada, solamente nos falta completar con el cuello, que siempre para mí es uno de los pasos más importantes.
Its seam is at shoulder level, I found some very nice details, the shirt was with very clean cuts and finally here I am showing it almost finished, we only need to complete with the neck, which for me is always one of the most important steps.
Nos gusta que quede bien distribuido, que no se vea ni tan estirado ni tan holgado y bueno para eso todas la costureras tenemos nuestro truquitos, en mi caso si el cuello al doble de la tela mide 45 cm yo le resto 3 cm, para que al momento de cortarlo en vez de 45 cm más bien sea 42 cm.
We like it to be well distributed, not so stretched or so loose and well for that all seamstresses have our little tricks, in my case if the neck at the double of the fabric measures 45 cm I subtract 3 cm, so that at the time of cutting it instead of 45 cm it will be 42 cm.
Mi querida Carolina me comentaba que esta tela apenas estaba llegando al castillo, al parecer es una tela de algodón, es muy suave muy fresca, sin embargo, al momento de coser es un poquito pesada, es como que la aguja entrara y saliera de forma forzada, pero estoy segura que con otro número de aguja se pudiera resolver esa situación.
My dear Carolina told me that this fabric was just arriving to the castle, apparently it is a cotton fabric, it is very soft, very fresh, however, when sewing it is a little heavy, it is as if the needle entered and exited in a forced way, but I am sure that with another number of needle this situation could be solved.
Siendo sincera estoy muy complacida con este resultado, en mi caso me tocó cortar la pieza y tratar de respetar toda la confección que la franela tenía. En el caso de Jeraldine, ella hizo el trabajo de costura, la verdad creo que ha sido una de las piezas más limpias que ha hecho con unos acabados muy bonitos, cada vez me sorprendo con el talento que tiene mi hija, espero le guste.
To be honest I am very pleased with this result, in my case I had to cut the piece and try to respect all the confection that the flannel had. In the case of Jeraldine, she did the sewing work, the truth is that I think it has been one of the cleanest pieces she has done with very nice finishes, every time I am surprised with the talent that my daughter has, I hope she likes it.
En la costura lo que nos hará más hábiles, creativos y más eficientes para hacer las piezas con mejores acabados, es la práctica y el amor que le pongamos a lo que hacemos. Como de costumbre se lavó la pieza y se planchó. Hoy se entregaron todos los trabajos que nos pidieron, nuestra querida Carolina quedó muy satisfecha, lo cual para nosotras es nuestra mejor recompensa. Cuidense mucho y que Dios los bendiga en los próximos días.
In sewing what will make us more skilled, creative and more efficient to make the pieces with better finishes, is the practice and love that we put to what we do. As usual, the pieces were washed and ironed. Today we delivered all the work we were asked to do, our dear Carolina was very satisfied, which for us is our best reward. El modelo holgado es ideal para esos días que deseamos usar algo suelto y fresco, pero a la vez reservado, que se pueda resaltar con una prenda más corta como un short de jeans.😃
