¡Hola, espero te encuentres de maravilla!
Hi, I hope you are feeling great!
While I was looking around for patterns where the amigurumi shapes stand out more, I found this little potato and I loved it.
This pattern is by Viktoriya from Cutecrochetbrooches. By the way, if you check her account you'll find the pattern for this free pattern. What struck me about this pattern was the final size using my materials (it was about 3.9 in). I also found the painting of the eyes interesting.
¡Hamuy!
This potato has a flat shape, its structure is particular, that is to say, it is different from my flat 2D designs. The original pattern is a single color, I wanted it to be a Peruvian (native) potato and I played with the colors.
In the previous post I explained more about this. In short, this is a medium sized crisp, it doesn't have that much embroidery and I do recommend filling it this way.
For the limbs and eyes I did use the "reverse crochet", usually this technique is used by Russian designers or neighbouring countries. I learned this technique years ago, so it was not complicated for me.
In this part, I found the images of the pattern very useful. Especially for the position of the eyes.
At the beginning I thought that painting the eyes would be more complicated and it was the opposite. I think it took about 10 minutes. The embroidery is one of the most delicate parts of amigurumi.
Details of the eyelashes and some final photos. I felt like eating that potato...I see it as a mix between a turkey and a potato, jaja. The next test for this potato will be if the paint comes out of the eyes or what's the deal...
¡Y eso es todo!
¡Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!.

Abrazotes.
Que hermosa papita, luce muy tierna. Saludos
Oye sí. Estoy probando esto de la técnica mixta. Abrazos.
This potato is so cute
I also almost thought of it as edible because it looks nice
It’s always a delight to see such creative works
Great job
In Peru we have more than 3600 varieties of potato, with multiple colors for the skin and the flesh. It wasn't easy to decide on one, jaja. Big hugs.
