Rediseñando a Guardianes de la quinua_Juana || Redesigning Quinoa Guardians

Hace unos años cree a Juana, quien es un personaje inspirado en la quinua rosada de Junín, Perú. Ella es parte de la Colección Guardianes de la quinua. En ese tiempo lo hice tamaño mini (13 cm), ahora aumentaré su tamaño para que se vean más los detalles.

A few years ago I created Juana, who is a character inspired by the pink quinoa from Junín, Peru. She is part of the Guardians of Quinoa Collection. At that time I made it little size (5.11 in), now I will increase its size so that you can see more details.

Cabeza y manitas || Head and hands

Cuando diseñas un muñeco, hay distintas formas de iniciar. Esta vez, inicié por la cabeza. Dándole una forma achatada, esto tiene un significado enorme para mí y creo que cada diseñador sabe el porqué le da cierta forma o cierto tipo de puntos y en qué lugar debe ir...Este rediseño será grande para mí, por eso estoy utilizando las manitos estilo manopla.

When you design a doll, there are different ways to start. This time, I started with the head. Giving it a flattened shape, this has a huge meaning for me and I think every designer knows why he gives it a certain shape or certain kind of stitches and where it should go...This redesign will be big for me, that's why I'm using the mitten style hands.

Colores en acción

Guardianes de la quinua, se caracteriza por llevar colores de la planta de Quinua como parte de su identidad y para promover la biodiversidad genética de este alimento. Para este diseño, el color turqueza hace que resalte los tonos de rosados.

Guardians of Quinoa is characterised by the colors of the Quinoa plant as part of its identity and to promote the genetic biodiversity of this food. For this design, the turquoise color brings out the pink tones.

Va quedando || Work in progress

Rediseñar un personaje del pasado me permite incorporar nuevas técnicas aprehendidas y Juana se viene con todo. Pronto habrá patrón, espero sea antes de Junio.

Redesigning a character from the past allows me to incorporate new techniques learnt and Juana is coming with everything. There will be a pattern soon, hopefully before June.
