Hace unos días comencé a trabajar en el tejido de un amigurumi que me encargó un amigo, esta comisión me ha llevado bastantes días de trabajo, por eso cuando vi la invitación de la comunidad #NeedleWorkMonday para el reto de mostrar el adelanto de un trabajo y luego al siguiente lunes mostrar el resultado final, me sentí muy entusiasmada de mostrar mi progreso y participar, además las compañeras de la comunidad me animaron a atreverme a publicar por primera vez un proceso sin terminar.
A few days ago I started working on knitting an amigurumi that a friend commissioned me, this commission has taken me quite a few days of work, that's why when I saw the invitation from the #NeedleWorkMonday community for the Challenge to show the advancement of a job and then the following Monday to show the final result, I was very excited to show my progress and participate, also the community colleagues encouraged me to dare to publish an unfinished process for the first time.

Mi amigo me encargó este amigurumi hace unos meses atrás, pero por razones de la cuarentena además de que vivo en una ciudad muy pequeña aun no había podido conseguir los materiales que necesitaba, mejor dicho el hilo del color correcto, porque el personaje lleva la ropa azul turquesa, como muchas personas ligadas al arte y la artesanía se podrán haber dado cuenta el color azul es uno de los colores con mas tonalidades existentes, por eso cualquier azul no se iba parecer en absoluto al personaje, por eso decidí esperar a conseguir el hilo del color correcto para poder comenzar el trabajo.

Cuando por fin tenía todo listo para empezar y en mi mente ya intentaba hacerme una idea de las puntadas que haría para cada parte de amigurumi, decidí comentarle a mi amigo que ya tenía todo para empezar, le pregunté sobre otro color que no se podía apreciar bien en las imágenes de referencia, el me respondió y terminó diciéndome algo que me perturbó por un momento, el dijo ¿Sí sabes que los zapatos son de tacón? A lo que yo respondí con asombro ¿Qué?. Pues yo no sabía que los zapatos eran de esa forma, de hecho a los dos nos gusta y somos fan de este artista, me sorprendió no haberme dado cuenta de ese detalle, entonces mi amigo me dice que los zapatos se ven por completo en una pequeña parte del video musical que fue reeditado en 2016, es decir que en el video original no se ven tanto, además yo pienso no todo el mundo podría haberse dado cuenta de ese detalle, acto seguido el me envía algunas capturas de pantalla de dicho video y era cierto, los zapatos no solo eran de dos colores como yo ya sabía sino que también tenían tacón y no era cualquier tipo de tacón , era un tacón de plataforma de madera, casi entro en pánico cuando vi ese detalle.

Well, I did not know that the shoes were that way, in fact we both like it and we are a fan of this artist, I was surprised not to have noticed that detail, so my friend tells me that the shoes are completely seen in one small part of the music video that was reissued in 2016, that is to say that in the original video they are not seen so much, also I think not everyone could have realized that detail, then he sends me some screenshots of said video And it was true, the shoes were not only in two colors as I already knew but they also had heels and it was not just any type of heel, it was a wooden platform heel, I almost panicked when I saw that detail.

Mi amigo mostró demasiado interés en esos zapatos, casi se podría decir que es su parte favorita del atuendo del artista en ese video, entonces inmediatamente comprendí que yo no podía obviar dicho detalle. Así que me puse a pensar…
La complicación inmediata que pensé es que el amigurumi debía ser articulado como los anteriores, es decir con una estructura de alambre maleable por dentro que le permitiera sostenerse de pie y mover sus extremidades, la forma más común de hacer este tipo de estructura es crear con el alambre una base de espiral que irá dentro de pie del amigurumi en forma de planta, es decir que la idea de hacer un tacón haría que esta base de espiral no podría hacerse por lo tanto el amigurumi no se sostendría de pie.
Recordé que en una ocasión tejí zapatos de tacón, pero esto lo realicé para el amigurumi de Miss Spider, para estos zapatos el proceso fue comenzar a tejer desde la punta del pie, creando una especie de cono, al cual continué tejiendo de forma curva hasta llevar a la altura del tobillo, entonces aparte tejí el tacón y uní tejiéndolo de forma paralela para luego crear el tobillo, entonces cuando introduje en alambre de la pata de la araña importaba que la terminación del zapato fuera un tacón fino, porque al tener 8 patas la araña se mantendría en pie, pero en el caso del amigurumi que me acababan de encargar solo seria dos piernas, así que temía que el tacón no fuera lo suficientemente ancho para crear una base de alambre que resistiera el peso del muñeco en equilibrio.

The immediate complication I thought was that the amigurumi had to be articulated like the previous ones, that is, with a malleable wire structure inside that would allow it to stand upright and move its limbs, the most common way to make this type of structure is to create with the wire a spiral base that will go inside the foot of the amigurumi in the shape of a plant, that is to say that the idea of making a heel would make it a spiral base could not be made therefore the amigurumi would not stand upright.
I remembered that on one occasion I wove high-heeled shoes, but I did this for Miss Spider's amigurumi, for these shoes the process was to start knitting from the tip of the foot, creating a kind of cone, which I continued to knit in a curved way until wear at ankle height, then apart I wove the heel and joined by weaving it in a parallel way to later create the ankle, then when I inserted the wire from the spider's leg it was important that the end of the shoe was a thin heel, because having 8 legs the spider would remain standing, but in the case of the amigurumi that I had just been commissioned it would only be two legs, so I was afraid that the heel would not be wide enough to create a wire base that would resist the weight of the balanced doll.

Decidí hacer los zapatos de una forma más grande, es decir, un poco desproporcionados pero no menos lindos, al ser el zapato más grande el tacón de plataforma sería por ende más ancho, entonces podría hacer una pequeña base de espiral con el alambre que haría equilibrio con la parte delantera del zapato que también es de plataforma pero más pequeña.
Procedí de la siguiente forma, primero sobre 4 cadenas de base de color negro, tejí de forma circular haciendo aumento a los lados y luego tejiendo recto hasta conseguir la punta del zapato, luego cambié a hilo blanco y continué tejiendo creando una curva ascendente, para ello tejí aumento a la mitad de las puntadas y a la otra mitad hice diminuciones, el total las puntadas no disminuye pero se va curvando el tejido hasta obtener la longitud deseada.

Con hilo marrón tejí el tacón, este lo realicé creando la base de forma plana, entonces tejí de forma circular en dirección vertical hasta obtener la altura deseada para el tacón. Luego tejí el tacón de la parte de adelante que también era de plataforma pero más baja, comencé con hilo marrón haciendo la base exactamente igual a la anterior, cambié a hilo negro y para crear la línea blanca realicé dos vueltas seguidas de puntos deslizados con hilo blanco.
With brown thread I wove the heel, I did this by creating the base in a flat way, then I wove in a circular way in a vertical direction until I obtained the desired height for the heel. Then I knit the heel of the front part that was also platform but lower, I started with brown thread making the base exactly the same as the previous one, I changed to black thread and to create the white line I made two consecutive rows of slipped stitches with thread White.
Cosí la primera parte del zapato al tacón de atrás, luego cosí l parte delantera del la suela de plataforma, esta parte la rellené un poco antes de cerrar por completo. Luego con hilo negro levanté puntadas de forma circular y tejí haciendo algunas disminuciones para crear el tobillo. Ya los zapatos estaban listos, así que procedí a probar la estructura de alambre para constatar que se sostendría en pie.
I sewed the first part of the shoe to the back heel, then I sewed the front part of the platform sole, this part was filled a little before closing completely. Then with black thread I raised stitches in a circular way and knitted making some decreases to create the ankle. The shoes were ready, so I proceeded to test the wire frame to see that it would hold up.
El alambre funcionó y todo parecía estar bien, hasta que pensé que no podría continuar el tejido de la pierna desde el tobillo del zapato, porque el personaje usa unos pantalanes acampanados que cubren una parte del zapato, así que tenía que realizar antes los pantalones para poder unirlos al calzado.
Con el hilo azul turquesa tejí 21 cadenas las cuales cerré en forma de círculo, sobre esta comencé a tejer la bota de pantalón de abajo hacia arriba de forma acampanada, cuando obtuve la distancia paralela al tobillo, tejí solo el lado del frente de los puntos para dejar por dentro las hebras que me permitirían coser el zapato, continué tejiendo hasta obtener el largo de la pierna, tejí dos botas de pantalón iguales, las uní entre sí dejando un distancia de 3 cadenas, tejí desde la entrepierna hasta arriba hasta llegar a la cintura, de ese modo el pantalón estaba completo.
The wire worked and everything seemed fine, until I thought that I could not continue the knitting of the leg from the ankle of the shoe, because the character wears flared panties that cover a part of the shoe, so I had to make the pants first to to be able to join them to footwear.
With the turquoise blue thread I wove 21 chains which I closed in the shape of a circle, on this I began to knit the trouser boot from the bottom up in a flared way, when I obtained the distance parallel to the ankle, I wove only the front side of the stitches To leave the threads inside that would allow me to sew the shoe, I continued knitting until I got the length of the leg, I knitted two equal trouser boots, I joined them together leaving a distance of 3 chains, I knitted from the crotch to the top until reaching the waist, that way the pants were complete.
Para unir el pantalón con los zapatos, primero deslicé por dentro del pantalón la estructura de alambre, luego introduje el zapato asegurándome de que la base quedara bien en la planta del tacón de atrás, rellené el zapato con fibra, le di vuelta hacia arriba a la bota del pantalón hasta encontrar las la línea creada por el lado de atrás de los puntos dejados en suspenso cuando hacía la bota del pantalón, con hilo del zapato cosí la bota y de esta forma al dar vuelta nuevamente quedaría la pierna tal como yo la deseaba. Por fin procedí a rellenar las piernas, me sentí muy alegre al ver que se mantenía de pie y todo se veía como debía ser.

OMG! Every time I think your amigurumi is the best you ever made, than you again outdo yourself. The shoooooooeeeeees! So wonderful, you even crocheted the different layers of the soles. I am stunned how good your work is. And the idea to make the heel wider and to create an amigurumi which really can stand upright is amazing.
I was so curious who you are crocheting, that I tried to google with your hints (shoes, turquoise pants and singer) but I only got weird suggestions of carnival costumes :-DDD I fear I have to wait until next Monday.

Muchas gracias @jicrochet por tus palabras, a veces sucede así, es como un proceso mental primero, pero no siempre hay otras ocaciones que no puedo visualizarlo antes y son los proyectos mas difíciles porque me toca primero probar con los hilos y eso no me gusta porque de tanto desbaratar se ponen feitos, me gusta mas cuando puedo construir el proceso mentalmente, me frustro menos de esa forma, aunque creo que eso tiene que ver con los estilos de aprendizaje de la persona, soy muy visual y creo que se debe a eso, sé que hay personas que no visualizan sino que haciéndolo de una es que les va resultando. Esta algo difícil saber el personaje, me atrevo a decir que es alguien del grupo que ama el tejido tanto como tu y además adora los tacones.

Podría ser Michael Jackson cuando estaba en sus inicios con los Jackson Five, ya que usaban tacones de plataforma y ese tipo de pantalones. Me encanta la raña ese trabajo no lo había visto.
Muchas gracias Carolina, no es Michael Jackson pero de cierta forma estas cerca, este cantante es unos 11 mayor y el video donde salía con esa ropa es del 73, pero obviamente vivió el mismo auge de la música de esos años y son contemporáneos.

@irenenavarroart que belleza de botas, wow... no tengo conocimientos en tejidos pero me encanta lo creativa que eres, y ciertamente, si tu amigo quiere el personaje con sus botas tal cual, no te queda de otra que buscar esos detalles, la verdad me sorprendí, el tacón creo que es lo mas difícil, ya estoy esperando el resultado final... ya quiero que sea lunes otra vez jajaja.

Estoy entre Freddie Mercury y John Travolta, ambos eran extravagantes en sus vestuarios para su época, jaja. Hasta ahora no he tejido personajes con tacones tan altos. Si en caso me toque tejerlos, ya tendré una idea de cómo elaborarlos. ¡Muchas gracias!, nos inspiras a muchas.
