She used to make some dresses for our dolls. Though she can only sew like 2 to 3 pieces of dress because she was always busy with her work, I, on the other hand, tried as many as I can hand-sew some excess fabrics that she had given.
Last month, when we went to my parent's house, I showed my mother and sisters my two dolls, wearing my creations. Those dresses I made were my entries to the 2020-2021 needleworkmonday's contest. They loved it and were happy to know that I was participating in a contest. Then my mom showed me my 2 old dolls (bigger than what I have in the present). It was stored safely in my mother's cabinet, still wearing her creations, five years ago. I really loved those gowns and I remember wishing before that someday I will make dresses as beautiful as she did.

These big dolls were bought way back in 2013 as a gift from my younger sister to me. At that time I was already 27 years old, married, and had my 1st baby. Funny, but I was just asking for a small doll before to crochet some dresses and able to practice my skills in crocheting wearables. I was amazed at how big it was since I'm expecting a small one and was giggling at the same time while she hand it to me.
That same day, I grabbed my hook and yarn and was able to finish crocheting the 1st dress and the 2nd dress on the following day feeling so excited and artistic. I didn't have a pattern or inspiration for those dresses. It was all a product of imagination.

After that, I got busy with my work and my baby with some made-to-order crochet bikinis. At that time I was already accepting commissioned projects while having my work at the hospital in Cebu as receptionist/secretary. Of course, I'm doing it every night when my baby had slept. Then after I resigned from my work (2015), we went back to Negros (our homeland) to stay for good. I kept my dolls at my parent's house since we're living on our own together with my husband.
Now, I have 4 dolls with me and thinking of giving the two (1 big and 1 small) on Christmas day to someone who can't afford to have them, leaving the other two as models for my crochet mini-wearables. That would be perfect. My mind is now busy designing their next crochet outfits, so expect it more on my future posts.
Have a nice day everyone. And thank you for reading my post. God bless us all.

Wow! Your mom's dress design were beautiful. Especially the green one. May your dolls go to someone who deserve it.
Yes, I loved how she decorated it with small beads and ruffles on edge. Thank you and God bless you @jurich.🥰

Your mom's work is impressive! And your idea of giving dolls to someone who needs them is even more! You will make someone really really happy!
My boy has just given away some of his gemstones, saying: " Mommy, it is a season of giving!".
I'm still spotting a child who is less fortunate and hope I can able to give it to her this Christmas day. Thank you for reading my post and God bless you @rimicane. 🥰
