Hace algunos días publiqué un vestido que tejí para la muñeca de una de mis sobrinas, pero la misión no estuvo completa ya que son dos muñecas idénticas de mis dos pequeñas e inseparables sobrinas.
El verdadero reto era hacer dos vestidos totalmente diferentes para que de esta manera las muñecas se pudieran identificar fácilmente y poder minimizar los pleitos entre las niñas. Pues el día de hoy les traigo el vestido número 2 ya terminado.

A few days ago I published a dress that I knitted for the doll of one of my nieces, but the mission was not complete since they are two identical dolls of my two little and inseparable nieces.
The real challenge was to make two totally different dresses so that the dolls could easily identify each other and minimize the fights between the girls. Well, today I bring you dress number 2 already finished.
Como artesana puedo decir que estos tres verbos guardan una estrecha relación, no importa el orden en el que se coloquen. Tejer me permite crear una pieza o prenda que ya ha sido pensada, imaginada o soñada con anterioridad, siempre hay ese reto pendiente, ese proyecto que soñamos elaborar y una vez que ya lo hemos creado con nuestras agujas, de inmediato surge en nuestra mente un nuevo sueño, un nuevo reto y una nueva meta. Por eso puedo decir que es como un proceso cíclico.
Lo que les quiero contar con toda esta explicación, es que una vez que terminé el primer vestido y cumplí mi sueño de tejer un vestido de bebé, inmediatamente comencé a imaginar como sería el siguiente vestido.
El vestido debía ser diferente al anterior, pero mi limitante fue que solo tenía hilo en tonos morados, entonces decidí colocarle al segundo vestido un toque de rosado para hacerlo un poco diferente.
Knit, Create and Dream ...
As a craftswoman I can say that these three verbs are closely related, no matter the order in which they are placed. Knitting allows me to create a piece or garment that has already been thought, imagined or dreamed before, there is always that pending challenge, that project that we dream to elaborate and once we have already created it with our needles, immediately arises in our mind a new dream, a new challenge and a new goal. That is why I can say that it is like a cyclical process.
What I want to tell you with all this explanation, is that once I finished the first dress and fulfilled my dream of knitting a baby dress, I immediately began to imagine what the next dress would be like.The dress had to be different from the previous one, but my limitation was that I only had purple yarn, so I decided to add a touch of pink to the second dress to make it a little different.
Since I had already knitted the first dress, sizing the second one was a little easier. For this second dress I decided to make it with a square neck yoke. I've always loved girls' dresses with a square neckline, they are so classic and so pretty.
CANESÚ
To make this yoke I knitted a base of 48 chains and then divided them into four equal parts, that is, four parts of 12 chains each, the back part I divided into two parts to be able to leave the opening. As it is a very small yoke, six loops were enough. Once I had the sleeves separated, I started knitting the skirt.

FALDA
Since I wanted the skirt to be a little wider, I decided to knit it with several rounds of fans. To finish I knit two rounds of white fans and closed with a pink round.

As a final touch I added a pretty knitted flower and of course I also knitted her little hat. I loved knitting these dresses and being able to fulfill this beautiful mission, the best of all was that the customers were fascinated with their dolls and I was very happy with the result.
