The problem 1 that I had is that I wanted to take advantage of some pieces of fabric but the mold would not fit, so I took the trouble to break it into smaller pieces that would fit into the fabric. BUT I did not take into account that these fabrics are of different material and that caused problem 2. As the fabrics were different, one stretched more than the other. So at first glance you could see that the fabric was going to hang ... I thought that later on I could solve it and I kept going.
El inconveniente 1 que tuve es que quería aprovechar unos retazos de tela pero el molde no entraba, entonces me tomé el trabajo de partirlo en piezas más pequeñas que encajaran en la tela. PERO no tuve en cuenta que estas telas son de diferente material y eso originó el problema 2. Como las telas eran diferentes una se estiraba más que la otra. Entonces a simple vista se veía que la tela iba a quedar colgando... Pensé que más adelante podría solucionarlo y seguí adelante.

Esta moldería lleva el refuerzo de la entrepierna cosido de tal modo que las costuras queden ocultas. Esta terminación es muy prolija, pero generó el inconveniente 3.
After putting the pieces of fabric together, the next step is to wrap elastic around it. Well, the first pass of sewing is usually easy. One layer of fabric, two in the case of the crotch due to the double reinforcement.
Luego de unir las piezas de tela, el siguiente paso es colocar elástico alrededor. Bueno, la primera pasada de costura suele ser sencilla. Una capa de tela, dos en el caso de la entrepierna debido al doble refuerzo.
But problem 3 is that to make the second elastic seam you must turn the fabric, which results in 4 layers of fabric in the crotch area, in addition to the elastic. This is like a big layer where the machine locks up and the seams are HORRENDOUS. This fabric is definitely too thick to make this type of crotch + this stretch technique.
Pero el problema 3 es que para hacer la segunda costura de elástico debes girar la tela, lo que origina 4 capas de tela en la zona de la entrepierna, además del elástico. Esto es como una gran capa en donde la máquina se traba y las costuras quedan HORRENDAS. Definitivamente esta tela es muy gruesa como para hacer este tipo de entrepierna + esta técnica de elastizado.
All of this led to problem 4: having to unstitch everything that was badly sewn. At this point I was very frustrated thanks to the sum of errors. I was about to get rid of this garment, but I preferred to keep it in a drawer, turn off the machine and start doing something else, hoping that at another time it will make me want to resume this project 😅.
Todo esto originó el problema 4: tener que descoser todo lo mal cosido. A este punto ya estaba muy frustrada gracias a la suma de errores. Estuve a punto de deshacerme de esta prenda, pero preferí guardarla en un cajón, apagar la máquina y ponerme a hacer otra cosa, esperando que en otro momento me den ganas de retomar este proyecto 😅.
Making lingerie is not as easy as it seems, since you work with stretch fabrics, stretch, double seams, molds that must conform to the exact shape of the body... However, I enjoy doing it most of the time. But when the situation overwhelms me, as in this case, it is preferable to leave it for later, when we recharge our energies to fight against each of our projects. The important thing is not to give up ❤️!
Hacer lencería no es tan fácil como parece, desde que se trabaja con telas elásticas, elásticos, costuras dobles, moldes que deben ajustarse a la forma exacta del cuerpo... Sin embargo, disfruto hacerlo la mayoría del tiempo. Pero cuando la situación me supera, como en este caso, es preferible dejarlo para después, cuando recarguemos nuestras energías para luchar contra cada uno de nuestros proyectos. ¡Lo importante es no rendirse ❤️!

😂😂 I would have done the same too. For me it's when I have to unravel a project because of a mistake. It's exhausting and I always keep it for later when I have the mental strength to start over.
It is a good strategy not to end up hating the project. The mind works better if it rests, the abilities recharge 😅.
😂 you know from the cutting I was really confused, I was like what's this 🤷 I didn't understand but when I scrolled up I then understood what was going on, its a lovely pant I must say, since that's not my area of specialization I don't really have much to say or to ask but from the out look and the pictures, along with the finish work I must say you've don an amazing job thanks for sharing, I believe it will be of great benefit to someone, weldone

I sometimes use a thin piece of paper under the fabric to stabilize it and improve the stitch quality. Maybe that will help next time? !BBH
