En lo personal nunca tuve una Babie.
En mi casa fuimos 11 hermanos, de las cuales 4 eramos niñas. Mi madre no tenía recursos para comprarnos muñecas y mucho menos una Barbie (si es que ya existían para cuando nací). Después tuve 2 hijas y con ellas fue que tuve una Barbie en casa, pude hacerles ropa para que jugaran y accesorios.
Personally, I never had a Babie.
In my house we were 11 siblings, 4 of us were girls. My mother didn't have the resources to buy us dolls, much less a Barbie (if they even existed by the time I was born). Later I had 2 daughters and with them I had a Barbie at home, I was able to make them clothes to play with and accessories.
Ahora que mis hijas son adultas y mi nieta acaba de nacer, tampoco tenemos una Barbie en casa. Pero hice este atuendo pensando qué tal vez mi nieta pronto tenga una muñeca y pueda darle esta ropa.
Para concursar hice 3 prendas de vestir: Pantalón, Top y sombrero.
Now that my daughters are adults and my granddaughter has just been born, we don't have a Barbie at home either. But I made this outfit thinking that maybe my granddaughter will soon have a doll and I can give her these clothes.
For the contest I made 3 items of clothing: Pants, Top and hat.
Pantalón:
Para el pantalón de Barbie, comencé 27 cadenas, regresé a la cadena 3 para hacer un punto alto.

Pants:
For Barbie's pants, I started with 27 chains, I went back to chain 3 to make a high stitch.
And so I started my work, after I had the top of the pants, I started with the boots that I made flared type to give it a loose and cool style.

Para finalizar las botas del pantalón, la última vuelta fue de 1 medio punto por toda la vuelta en las dos piernas. En la parte de atrás, en todo el borde hice un medio punto en cada punto para hacer un ojal con 5 cadenas y le puse un botón diminuto. En la parte de adelante, coloqué un adorno, una bella cadenita que hace de cinturón.
To finish the trouser boots, the last row was 1 half stitch all the way around on both legs. On the back, I knitted a half stitch all the way around the edge to make a buttonhole with 5 chains and attached a tiny button. On the front, I placed an ornament, a beautiful little chain that acts as a belt.

Top:
El top de Barbie fue mas sencillo. Comencé tejiendo 18 cadenas en cada vuelta tejí un punto alto en cada punto. Teji 4 vueltas para dar el largo del top, luego teji 3 vueltas más en punto alto y las doblé para que quede un doblez, luego cerré el top.
Top:
Barbie's top was simpler. I started by knitting 18 chains, in each row I knit a single crochet in each stitch. I knit 4 loops to give the length of the top, then I knit 3 more loops in stockinette stitch and folded them over to make a fold, then I closed the top.

Sombrero:
Para el sombrero hice primero la parte superior y luego le hice el vuelo y para finalizar tejí un medio punto en cada punto del color del top, que es un color salmón. Decoré con una diminuta flor de tela.
Hat:
For the hat I made the top part first and then I made the flounce and to finish I knitted a half stitch in each stitch in the color of the top, which is a salmon color. I decorated with a tiny fabric flower.
