Oh!! I do the exact same thing, always make something new before I finish the previous!!
As far as the tunisian crochet, when I first made one piece, it happened to have one from my mum, and I borrowed it for a while. But now, that I far away, I will follow your tip if I want to crochet something! Yes, of course I will find something! Oh no... Lol!
