This is a HAT blog I am making just for this summer.
The hat I got in Eurodisney in February this year ,
when we had a holiday there,
is a great one to use while going to the beach.
I love hats !
The hat is cowboy hat and is a
basic light brown one and easy to change.

In A. You remove the red banner from Eurodisney, its sewed to the straw and its a precize work because you don't want to damage the base straw.

Here you see it up close , its sewed by machine.

This hat has two sewing lines and the red thread ,
and is easy to remove with a pocket knife.

Than I take in this case 4 kinds of lace and fabric to make new banners. You want colors to match the clothes you have and gonna wear on your holiday. You can always recycle ribbon from gifts or from luxury gift bags. I recycle many of those when I grow something out and think well maybe I can use it later on.

This multicolour white based ribbon is great with some dresses I have, so I bought this for 1,50. The pink and blue also are very summer-y.

White lace is always good, and goes with so many clothes, so a flowery lace in white with the white flowers.

Its sewed with thin white thread along the hat and a knot is at the backside lace on top of the hat. I squared the lace over eachother for the romantic touch.

This is the end result for the white one.
Now the last one a dual ribbon one.

Last one I did two layer banners in beige and brown. Normally this is used at the end of a torn on fabric.
I sewed them by hand and did two above eachother.

Its the end posh result and for when its more dressy instead of beach.
It took 30 minutes of time and it cost 2 euro to do.
I already had the hat, if you go too thrifstores there are always hats available. Clean them with some lemon , dry them in the sun and they are all as good as new.
Its a personalised hat now ,
BUT not the first time I did a DIY hatterday.

Hi @brittandjosie, I hope you have a nice day today. I also love hats and have changed the decoration of some to make them more feminine or masculine for my son to wear. The most recent I love is a small and clear hat, but it has been stained with my makeup base at the level of the forehead because the truth is that it is a bit small and to make it look good I tried to introduce it more on the head haha but the makeup on his forehead smeared it. I have not wanted to wash it because once I washed one even though it was made of another material and it lost its firmness and became deformed. You say wash it with lemon, will it help me to remove that type of stain? By the way, I loved your hat, because although it is cowboy style, the material and the fabric give it a feminine air that makes it stand out among others.

Itβs all depends on the material. But yes most of teh tome sun and lemon bleach the stain out
