On Thursday the contractor was here and he planned to shellac the 2 new handrails in between working in the root cellar. He got them sanded and the first coat on, then set about making shelf supports for the little shelves right by the door.
He then lightly sanded between coats and ended up getting 3 coats on each hand rail.
He got the rest of the pressure treat supports in place and then started placing the bottom of the shelving.
He hopes to be back on Saturday, as it will be very messy driving on Friday due to a sleet/snow storm and he plans to stay home and have a day off.
Very handy to have a nice carpenter around! Very practical and useful skill; I wanna learn carpentry.
So glad to see the handrail on the stairs. I love the shelving too, there are never enough!
