1.- Insert the wire into the fabric of the mini replica Wayúu tapestry.
1.- Inserta el alambre en la tela de la mini replica de tapiz Wayúu.
2.- Cut the wire and make a small ring.
2.- Cortas el alambre y haces un pequeño aro.
3.- Insert the chain through the knot cover into the ring.
3.- Insertas en el aro la cadena a través del tapa nudo.
4.- Cut the chain to obtain the desired fall and tie another top knot at the end.
4.- Cortas la cadena para obtener la caída deseada y en el extremo le colas otro tapa nudo.
5.- Through the knot cover ring, insert the end of the wire with the ring and place the beads. I placed two red beads, but you can add more beads if you prefer.
5.- A través de arito del tapa nudo, insertas el extremo del alambre con el aro y le colocas las cuentas. Yo le coloqué dos cuentas rojas, puedes colocarle si lo prefieres puedes agregarle más cuentas.
6.- Finally we mold the wire and turn it into an earring hook.
6.- Por último moldeamos el alambre y lo convertimos en un gancho para aretes.
That's it, we now have beautiful Wayúu earrings.

Los Wayúu, pueblo indígena de descendencia Arawak, habita la península de la Guajira, un extenso territorio desértico.
En Wayunaiki, Wayúu quiere decir gente/persona.
La tejeduría es una práctica ancestral, símbolo de creatividad y sabiduría. Según el mito, la araña Wale’kerü fue quien enseñó el oficio a los primeros Wayúu. Desde ese entonces las mujeres conocieron las técnicas, aprendieron a tejer figuras geométricas denominadas Kanáas, que representan el entorno material y la cosmología Wayúu y transmitieron su conocimiento de generación en generación.
