Today it is the turn to introduce this tender little arachnid and for me, my favorite commonly called as jumping spider belonging to the family salticidae ; they have four pairs of eyes being the two in the center the largest and thanks to that they obtain a rather tender appearance.
Hoy es el turno de presentar a este tierno y pequeño arácnido y para mí, mi favorito llamado communmente como araña saltarina perteneciente a la familia salticidae ; poseen cuatro pares de ojos siendo los dos del centro los mas grandes y gracias a eso obtienen una apariencia bastante tierna.
They have an excellent view which they use for courtship and hunting, they are very agile especially at the time of hunting since they can make very precise jumps, they are usually also quite fast and have a bimodal breathing that is; have trachea and lungs. Here I had the opportunity to capture her with a brown moth between her jaws which I never let go of despite my presence.
Tienen una vista excelente la cual emplean para el cortejo y para cazar, son muy agiles especialmente al momento de la caza ya que pueden dar saltos muy precisos, suelen ser tambien bastante rapidas y cuentan con una respiracion bimodal es decir; tienen traquea y pulmones. Aqui tuve la oportunidad de captarla con una polilla marron entre sus fauces la cual jamas solto pese a mi presencia.
They are not cobweb constructs, their fabric is usually used as a life insurance, since before making a jump; they usually hold one end of their fabric in the place where they are perched this is in case the great leap they are about to take fails.
No son constructuras de telaraña, su tela la suelen utilizar como un seguro de vida, ya que antes de hacer un salto; ellas suelen sujetar un extremo de su tela en el lugar donde estan posadas esto es por si llegase a fallar el gran salto que estan a punto de dar.
From what I read they have a short life because they only live three years and at birth the offspring climb on the mother remaining in them until their adulthood. The jumping spider does not represent a potential danger to humans because its venom is not deadly, but it can cause allergies to certain people.
Por lo que leido tienen una vida corta pues solo viven tres años y al nacer las crias se suben en la madre permaneciendo en ellas hasta su adultez. la araña saltarina no representa un peligro potencial para el ser humano pues su veneno no es mortal, pero si puede ocasionar alergias a ciertas personas.
