Meeting the meat fly which has a larger size with other fly species

Hello everyone's!!!

Flies are one type of insect that is often shunned by everyone, and this of course has a good reason, because it is a type of insect that often plays in dirty or unhealthy environments.

Our meeting this time, will not discuss the things mentioned above, but will convey some important information about everything that is seen in each of their activities.

Previously I wanted to say that they are categorized into the type of meat fly, why?

Because the name for him is the result of a review of experts who refer to his daily activities. This has been conveyed by one of the media more or less like the brief description shown below.

This fly is dubbed the Meat Flies, originally from the genus Sarcophaga Scientific insight reference

The meat-eaters here are not one of the many animals that fall into the Carnivora type, but suck liquids that come from meat. So it is called a type of fly that sucks liquid from rotting meat, not hard and raw meat like animals that are included in the Carnivora category.

This is confirmed in one of the results of what we all see about it, because flies do not have hard teeth like other Carnivorous animals, whereas they eat something from every object in the form of liquid contained in an object even though it is meat.

The explanation is like this

If you see a fly that is in your own environment, of course it will look for an object such as food or another object that is food for it, then when the fly finds an object in the form of food that is suitable for them, whether it is a piece of meat or or bread or leftovers (food from the remains of human food). Then they will secrete a special liquid that comes from their bodies, so the food or object itself will become a soft material or sometimes become a liquid that is not visible to human vision unless seen with an object such as a microscope.

So don't be surprised if you see food surrounded by flies, it will quickly go stale, this is due to the influence of the liquid contained in the flies when landing, what is meant by stale here is premature spoilage that occurs prematurely. This also happens to parts of objects that are exposed to liquid or parts of meat that flies vomit.

How could this happen?

Of course, they are very easy to do in a short time, because in the mouth or inside the fly is equipped with a very powerful tool that is able to act in an instant.

Or rather like this....

If I describe it like this, "All flies have a sucking mouth with pumping muscles in the head," this tool is owned by all flies (not just meat flies), so that with this work, every object that is encountered, both hard and soft, can be easily accessed or very easy to make into a liquid, and easy to pump into the mouth (not crushed with teeth).

For more details, see in the mouth of most flies, there is a very elastic tool or you could say the tip of the mouth of a fly has a shape that resembles a sponge, the character of the sponge itself is blooming, the tool will always be used to absorb liquid food. But pay close attention to this type of meat fly, of course it also has a sharp mouth to suck the liquid from everything they eat, of course the process is like the one above, by spewing its potent liquid into the food, so that the food turns into a liquid, when it becomes liquid it will be very easy to calculate and then transfer to the body.

This meat fly is one of the largest species I have known so far, at first I was not interested in writing about it, for the reasons mentioned above, other than that this species often plays in very dirty locations. But I saw something different about him. So with this phenomenon, I was immediately interested to see it. Another reason is, seeing his body is very clean, maybe his dirty body has been splashed with rainwater, and playing in every clean wild plant that grows in an empty field (already neglected by the owner/not cared for). Then the location of this vacant land is also far from garbage, or dirty locations and other bad things.

As I said, I saw the body of a different size to the type. Then how to measure the size of the body? Of course, it is very easy, by comparing the leaves of this weed wood with a size of 1 inch, while the size of the body also fills the ends of each leaf from both the front and back. So with that comparison, it is clear and can be ascertained that the size is 1 inch or less.

In this picture there are two different leaves, the place or location it perches/lands, the two leaves are also of different types, namely.

  1. Naleuëng Nut Leaves (mentioned people here call it)
  2. Wild cotton leaf (mentioned residents here).

The two leaves are different sizes, the peanut Naleuëng leaf is 1 inch, while the wild cotton leaf itself is 3 inches, so the size difference between each picture is clear, you understand it very well.

I shot it at a distance of 0.30 meters, I think the size is very precise in the ideal nuance, anyway I don't want to disturb it in such circumstances. Therefore there are no photos that I can take from all sides, if approach within 25 inches, of course it will fly in the other direction.

In this situation or in this vacant lot, there are no swarms of meat flies or any other species, only two meat flies which are larger than the other flies. So that makes me interested in taking photos and writing here about it.

Hello @luecas. The flies are unpleasant and annoying insects for most people, they do not know that they are insects very necessary for our ecosystem.

Hello too @nicanor-mosquera! Your opinion is very true, some people really hate it, but behind it there are benefits for this ecosystem, I once read about it in one of the blogs, the discussion is exactly like your opinion too. Thank you very much my brother for the advice and visit. 👍

We appreciate your work and your post has been manually curated on behalf of Insects Of The World Community. It will be added to the weekly curation report. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much @hive-129253, for the appreciation, and also thank you for the visit and the advice, have a nice day...
