One of the most EPIC movies of all time in my view is the 1989 movie THE WIZARD!
The Wizard is a truly GEM movie about a young child on a mission to enter the Nintendo World Championships in California!
The preemies of the movie is pretty simple - A young prodigy gamer embarks across the country for the highly sought after Nintendo Gaming Championships, which were really a real thing back in the early 90's!

In the movie the character is obviously heading a factious version of one, and he is accompanied by his older brother and then a runaway girl. Chasing the 3 across the country is another older brother and his step father.
The movie is really a great riot as it has so many classic 1980's Nintendo fair included such as power gloves, Mario world, and all the classic games and various memorable we remember so fondly. If you are a huge Nintendo fan, and you haven't seen this MOVIE, you're doing yourself a huge disservice!
I remember when this Movie first came out it actually inspired me to travel across the country to also enter a Nintendo championship. The dream actually did happen but I lost in the first round, and didn't get nearly as far as the character does in the movie!
On a scale of 10/10 I give this movie a perfect 10 on the NERDAY scale. It's about everything you can hope for and highly recommended!

The trailer commercial with Mario 3 and the turtle ducks crushing everything and the power glove was basically the coolest thing ever,since i was about 7 when this came out. I've actually never seen the movie though
The power glove is a gaming accessory of the legends :-} You must see the movie! It's very good actually and entertaining.
