Join me in failing at making a ghost plushie

Últimamente he visto muchas ideas en internet que me inspiran demasiado y aunque en algunas cosas no tengo el suficiente talento nunca pierdo ese instinto de intentarlo jaja, hoy quise hacer un pequeño peluche de fantasma, al principio quería hacer una especie de lampara de fantasma pero no tenia los materiales y realmente un peluche de fantasma parecía bastante sencillo, es decir, hablamos de una silueta blanca con sus ojos y boca negra, que tan difícil puede ser… ¿Cierto? Jajaja, pues para alguien que no sabe coser demasiado bien como yo si es todo un reto y me pareció muy chistoso como quedó, se ve gordito y un poco deforme pero lo mas importante de todo es que estuve a punto de botarlo y mi hijo lo vio y literalmente se enamoro del peluche de fantasma, prácticamente quitándomelo de las manos, asi que al menos a el si le gustó.

Lately I’ve seen a lot of ideas on the internet that inspire me too much and although in some things I don’t have enough talent I never lose that instinct to try haha, today I wanted to make a small ghost plush, at first I wanted to make a kind of ghost lamp but I didn’t have the materials and really a ghost plush seemed quite simple, I mean, we’re talking about a white silhouette with black eyes and mouth, how difficult can it be… Right? Hahaha, well for someone who doesn’t know how to sew too well like me, it is quite a challenge and I thought it was really funny how it turned out, it looks chubby and a little deformed but the most important thing of all is that I was about to throw it away and my son saw it and literally fell in love with the ghost plush, practically taking it out of my hands, so at least he liked it.

• Lápiz

• Hilo y aguja

• Relleno para peluches

• Silicon caliente

Para hacer este pequeño fantasma primero hice el boceto de la plantilla en una hoja blanca la cual luego recorte y calque sobre una tela que reutilice de una camisa de mi hijo que ya estaba a punto de botar porque estaba muy vieja, intente plasmar la silueta con lápiz en la tela pero el lápiz no marcaba nada y tuve que recurrir a un marcador negro, después de realizar las dos siluetas las recorte.

To make this little ghost I first made the sketch of the template on a white sheet of paper which I then cut out and traced onto a fabric that I reused from a shirt of my son's that I was about to throw away because it was too old. I tried to trace the silhouette with a pencil on the fabric but the pencil didn't mark anything and I had to resort to a black marker. After making the two silhouettes I cut them out.

Empecé a coser los bordes sin tomar en cuenta que debía recortar las siluetas con una distancia al menos de dos cm alrededor para que no se deformara demasiado mi peluche y obviamente me di cuenta demasiado tarde y ya no tenia mas tela para empezar de nuevo, asi que continue de esta forma, continue cosiendo con mis pocas habilidades y para mas colmo se me acabo el hilo blanco y tuve que seguir la mitad del fantasma con un hilo cian jajaja. Hay que coser todo alrededor, pero dejar un espacio sin coser para poder darle la vuelta a nuestro peluche y tambien por este mismo orificio poder rellenarlo.

I started sewing the edges without taking into account that I had to cut the silhouettes with a distance of at least two cm all around so that my stuffed animal would not be too deformed and obviously I realized it too late and I no longer had more fabric to start over, so I continued in this way, I continued sewing with my few skills and to top it off I ran out of white thread and I had to continue half of the ghost with a cyan thread hahaha. You have to sew all around but leave a space unsewn to be able to turn our stuffed animal inside out and also to be able to fill it through this same hole.

Rellené todo por dentro y luego cerré el hoyo cosiendo nuevamente. Para los ojos intente conseguir tela negra que no usara pero no tenia, asi que tome una tela blanca y la pinte con pintura al frio negra, recorte los ojos y la boca las cuales pegue con silicón caliente.

I stuffed everything inside and then closed the hole by sewing it again. For the eyes, I tried to find some unused black fabric, but I didn't have any. So I took some white fabric and painted it with black cold-applied paint. I cut out the eyes and mouth and glued them on with hot glue.

FINAL

Sinceramente no me gusto como quedo pero lo único que me hace feliz y que haya valido la pena todo este sufrimiento es saber que a mi hijo le gusto jajaja, el es muy fanático de los peluches y de los temas de Halloween asi que al menos pude hacerlo feliz con mi primer peluche

Honestly, I didn't like how it turned out, but the only thing that makes me happy and that all this suffering was worth it is knowing that my son liked it, hahaha. He's a big fan of stuffed animals and Halloween themes, so at least I was able to make him happy with my first stuffed animal.

Pero como no se iba a enamorar tu hijo de este fantasmita si esta super adorable 😍 yo no me llevo para nada bien con la costura, una vez quise arreglar una de mis remeras favoritas y ya mejor no lo hubiese hecho jajajaja para mi quedo muy lindo, el talento esta solo cuando hay amor por lo que uno hace ❤️

Qué cosa tendrán los fantasmitas que a todos nos gustan? Te quedó genial, y realmente anima mucho hacer el nuestro porque es muy fácil y se ve súper tierno. Además, que le podemos dar nuestro toque especial o personalizar. Te felicito @alexa.art
