Hello community! Since I started my first year, I've needed to work close to my computer. The desk is comfortable, but with the monitor and keyboard, I don't have much space left on the table, so I started looking for a solution.

Conseguí en internet unas pequeñas repisas que se colocan sobre el escritorio para darle altura al monitor, y al mismo tiempo queda un espacio debajo para poder guardar el teclado, si puede hacer incluso más ancho para que también haya espacio para el ratón de la computadora pero en mi caso luego de tomar medidas me di cuenta de que por cuestiones de espacio realmente eso no iba a poder ser posible
I found some small shelves online that can be placed on top of the desk to raise the monitor, while also leaving space underneath to store the keyboard. If possible, you could make it even wider so that there is also space for the computer mouse, but in my case, after taking measurements, I realized that due to space constraints, this wasn't going to be possible.
Una vez ya tenía las medidas y el material me puse manos a la obra. Conseguir el material fue sencillo, hace unos meses se me dañaron algunas gavetas de un vanity que tenía y me di la tarea de separar la madera que ya no servía y tirarla y también salvar la que aún estaba buena, esta fue la que usé para este estante.
I marked the pieces and cut them out. It was a little difficult because I don't have any machines for this and I have to do everything by hand. I asked my dad for the materials and he gave me some nails to join the pieces together. I had seen how to make joints by cutting and fitting the wood together, but I was already tired just from cutting out the shapes of the pieces.

Finally, I sanded the entire piece so that the paint would adhere better. I mixed orange, red, and brown to create this terracotta tone, painted it, and let it dry thoroughly. Once finished, I put the shelf back in its place. I really liked the result. If you want to do something similar, it's quite simple, but the most important thing is the measurements. You have to take into account the available space as well as the size of your keyboard and the base of your monitor.
Finalmente pasé una lija por toda la pieza para que la pintura se impregnara mejor, mezcle naranja, rojo y marrón hasta crear este tono terracota, lo pinté y dejé secar muy bien, luego ya terminado coloqué la repisa en su sitio. Me gustó mucho el resultado, Si desean hacer algo parecido es bastante sencillo pero lo más importante son las medidas, deben tener en cuenta el espacio disponible al igual que el tamaño de su teclado y la parte de la base de su monitor
