USB Led Lamp with 100% recycled materials.
All of us "computer technicians" know that the #technology industry produces a lot of garbage at home or in the office that after a while becomes a problem that accumulates more and more every day.
The challenge is to see how to reuse all the components that can be recycled and give them a second chance, there are old computers that with a little love and passion can be repowered and given a second life, everything is possible with a lot of desire, passion and love, But that would be a different post.
One of the components that accumulates the most, are the "hard drives" and "CPU fans", from desktop computers such as laptops, so being at home and seeing how much of this I have accumulated, "literally" my Lamp turned on . LOL
Another technological garbage that accumulates in abundance is led lights, many led lamps and spotlights are wasted and not reused because many people are unaware that they can be easily repaired, generally a spotlight stops working just because a single led do not work on a strip of led lights.
I do not want to stop mentioning the different USB cables and any electronic component that accumulates and accumulates without us realizing it, the challenge, as I said before is what to do with them, it is difficult for me to assimilate that many of these go to the garbage dumps in good state.
I can assure you that everything used for this project is 100% #recycled, only the glue I bought to be able to manufacture it.
If you think that this #DIY is difficult, I tell you flatly, "no", you must have the desire to do it, you will have many hours of fun and entertainment, even the process of looking for the materials would be a super adventure, I would like very much to see one version of you, I think that's my biggest goal in this, to get people to recycle and reuse many things that they thought were no longer useful.
No more blah blah blah to add!
Step 1: Materials and tools.
Step 2: Creating the base of the lamp
For this step we will need 4 disks from the recycled hard drives, using the instant glue we will be able to join them so that they have enough weight to have a good balance, in my case I have used a ring that will contain the epoxy glue. This step is quite easy.

Step 3: Using a clothes hanger.
For me the idea of the lamp using a laptop fan cooler and led lights was not so difficult, but to think how it would hold everything, it was very hard, I thought of many materials, PVC, brass, wood etc, but I had in abundance and unused at home were clothes hangers. Why not! I said!
Just cut a little and give it a curved shape so it will be centered and balanced when I put the weight of the fan cooler and to give it more firmness I used these clips that would be along it.

Step 4: Join the clothes hanger to the base
In this step we will use both glues, in the first instance we will fix the hanger with the instant glue to the disc base, we must make sure that it is well centered and balanced.

After fixing both parts we proceed to mix the epoxy glue and place it in the hole of the base, after a few minutes we have a good result as we see in the photo.

Step 5: Led lights
If we assume that the power source is 5 volts and that a single led consumes 3 volts, then we can assume that we would use a pair of leds in "series" so that the consumption is 2.5 volts for each led, so the shine will be sufficient in the dark.
In order to add more, we need to join them in "parallel", in our case we will use 6 pairs of series of 2 leds, we will put 2 in each heatsink of the fan cooler that we are going to use.

Step 6: Join USB cable, fan and lights
In this step I have recycled a small simple circuit to connect everything to the USB cable that will connect to the 5 volt power source which I forgot to mention can be any USB port on our computer or laptop.
After this I used instant glue and baking soda to mount everything on the base.

Step 7: Copper wire
Another of my favorite materials to recycle is the "Copper wire", it is abundant and is used for many things, in this project it has helped me to secure the USB cable to the base of the lamp. Just a little bit of imagination and I think it looks great.

Step 6: Result and conclusions
Straight to the point! Money can't buy all the fun and entertainment that making this project has given me. Just thinking that I can maybe motivate someone and change their way of seeing things in terms of the garbage that human beings produce is already a huge win for me.
This is a project with 100% recycled materials and the result is 100% positive and functional. LED lights can have a second longer life since we know that the heat they generate damages them, while the fan dissipation will prevent overheating.
