Hi, it's been a while since I posted anything on this community. But today I wanted to share with you a wonderful way to customize your clothes or any item you want to give a special, romantic, and flirtatious touch 😊 (now that this Victorian style is so trendy). It's a beautiful flower or rose, made with satin ribbon. That's right, all you need is a satin ribbon, a needle, and some thread. With just these three elements, you can give your clothes an original and unique touch.
Hola, yo tenía mucho tiempo sin publicar contenido en esta comunidad. Pero hoy quise compartir con ustedes una maravillosa forma de customizar tu ropa o cualquier artículo al que quieras darle un toque especial, romántico y coquette 😊 (ahora que se ha puesto tan de moda este estilo victoriano), se trata de una hermosa flor o rosa, hecha con cinta de raso, así es, tan solo necesitas una cinta de raso, una aguja y un poco de hilo, nada más, con tan solo estos tres elementos podrás darle un toque original y diferente a tus prendas de vestir
The size of the flower you make will depend on the amount of ribbon you use and also the thickness. In this case, I'm using a ribbon that's 1 1/2 cm thick by 39 cm long, so I'll get a tiny flower, which is all I need.
El tamaño de la flor que vayas a hacer dependerá de la cantidad de cinta que uses y también del grosor, en este caso estoy usando una cinta de 1 ½ cm de grosor por 39 cm de largo, con lo que voy a obtener una flor pequeñita que es todo lo que necesito.
The process is really easy, you just have to fold the ribbon in half, like you see in the photo, and then you have to fold the ribbon from left to right, passing over the previous one until you reach the end, and you have to hold it very well with your fingers to prevent it from coming loose.
El proceso es realmente fácil, solo debes doblar la cinta a la mitad, de esta manera como vez en la foto, y posteriormente hay que doblar la cinta de izquierda a derecha, pasando por encima de la anterior hasta llegar al final, y hay que sostener muy bien con los dedos para evitar que se zafe.

Finally, take one of the remaining ribbons (yes, that little bit left over at the end) and pull it. You'll notice that the rose petals automatically begin to form. It's really, really easy. However, the more ribbon you use, the more abundant the rose will be and therefore more attractive. But I like it this small; it seems more discreet for what I want to achieve today.
Por último toma una de las cintas sobrantes (sí, ese pedacito que sobre al llegar al final) y jálalo, con esto notarás que automáticamente se van formando los pétalos de la rosa. Es realmente muy pero muy fácil, eso sí, mientras más cinta uses más abundante será la rosa y por ende más atractiva, pero a mi me gusta así pequeñita, me parece más discreta para lo que quiero lograr hoy

To be able to sew on clothing you have to be very careful and place it gently in the spot where you want to place it, pressing with your fingers so that it doesn't come loose while you look for the thread and needle to sew (obviously the thread must be the same color as the flower so that it looks pretty) However I have a tip that might be interesting to you, for my part I put a pearl-headed pin on it that in addition to helping me hold the flower while I sewed it, I realized that it looked very good, so what I did was, after I finished sewing, I cut the excess of the pin on the other side and sealed it with a little liquid silicone for textiles.
Papa poder coser sobre la ropa hay que ser muy cuidadoso y ubicarla con delicadeza en el punto donde quieres ubicarla, presionando con los dedos para que no se zafe mientras buscas el hilo y la aguja para coser (obviamente el hilo debe ser del mismo color de la flor para que quede bonito) Sin embargo tengo un tip que te podría resultar interesante, yo por mi parte le puse un alfiler de cabeza perlada que además de ayudarme a sostener la flor mientras la cosía, me di cuenta que se le veía muy bien, así que lo que hice fue, después que termine de coser, corté el excedente del alfiler por el otro lado y sellé con un poco de silicón líquido para textiles.

Finally, you just have to cut the excess ribbon (which was the one you pulled to form the rose) and that's it, you can now show off your new creation with a personalized touch. You can also do it on woven bags or dresses and they will look very pretty.
Por último solo tienes que cortar el excedente de cinta (que fue la que jalaste para formar la rosa) y listo, ya puedes lucir tu nueva creación con un toque personalizado, también lo puedes hacer sobre bolsos tejidos o vestidos y se verán muy lindos.
Years ago, I made these roses to adorn the belt of a ball gown for my cousin's wedding, but in that case, I used much thicker and longer satin ribbons, so the roses turned out larger and more abundant. I like them; I feel they add that special touch to the occasion.
Hace años yo hice estas rosas para adornar el cinturón de un vestido de gala para la boda de mi prima, pero en ese caso usé cintas de raso mucho más gruesas y de mayor longitud, por eso las rosas salieron más grandes y abundantes. A mi me gustan, siento que le dan ese toque especial a la ocasión.
