Atendiendo el llamado de nuestra amiga moderadora del @equipodelta, quiero mostrarles mi participación en el extraordinario concurso titulado:" Furniture restoration" el cual me cayó como anillo al dedo (es un decir en mi país Venezuela). Mi hija Roseilyn de 13 años quería una mesita para colocarla en su habitación y sobre ella poder escribir sus libros, usando cómodamente su canaima, mientras escucha música con sus auriculares. Yo le comenté que tenía una mesita guardada en el cuarto que usamos como depósito pero que había que restaurarla ya que tenía ciertos detalles que mejorar para luego poderle dar uso.
Heeding the call of our moderator friend of @equipodelta, I want to show you my participation in the extraordinary contest entitled: "Furniture restoration" which fell like a glove (it is a saying in my country Venezuela). My 13-year-old daughter Roseilyn wanted a small table to place in her room and on which she could write her books, comfortably using her canaima, while listening to music with her headphones. I told him that I had a small table stored in the room that we used as a storage but that it had to be restored since it had certain details to improve so that it could be used later.
Y luego al enterarme del concurso se me vino a la mente esta mesita, ya no sería 1 razón para restaurarla ya serían dos jeje. Bueno amigos comencemos con el proceso para darle vida a este útil objeto como lo es la mesa, para la misma usamos:
And then when I found out about the contest, this little table came to mind, it wouldn't be 1 reason to restore it anymore, it would be two hehe. Well friends let's start with the process to give life to this useful object such as the table, for it we use:

Antes de comenzar la restauración quiero mostrarles las condiciones en que estaba la mesita.
Before I start the restoration I want to show you the conditions the table was in.
✓ Estaba un poco doblada ya que sus patas se habían aflojado razón por la que se tambaleaba, no tenía estabilidad.
✓ It was a little bent since its legs had loosened, which is why it was wobbly, it had no stability.
✓ Estaba descolorida, sucia y rayada ya que los niños pequeños la agarraban de cuaderno para rayarla.
✓ It was faded, dirty, and scratched from little kids grabbing it out of their notebooks to scratch it.
Ahora sí, veamos el paso a paso de esta restauración:

Paso 1.
Con ayuda de un pañito mojado con agua, comencé por limpiarla muy bien, la mesita tenía polvo y tela de araña ya que como les dije anteriormente estaba guardada desde hace mucho tiempo.
Step 1.Using a cloth dampened with water, I began by cleaning it very well. The table had dust and a spider web because, as I told you before, it had been stored for a long time.
Paso 2.
El segundo paso consistió en martillar las patas de la mesa, fijarlas mejor para que la mesa no estuviera de lado y no se tambaleara, para este paso mi tío Cesar me ayudó a fijar muy bien esas patas con ayuda del martillo.
Step 2.The second step consisted of hammering the legs of the table, fixing them better so that the table would not be on one side and would not wobble, for this step my uncle Cesar helped me to fix those very well legs with the help of the hammer.
Paso 3.
Ahora con ayuda de una lija, la fuí lijando la mesa por todas partes, hasta dejarla de esta manera.
Step 3.Now with the help of sandpaper, I sanded the table everywhere, until I left it this way.
Paso 4.
En este paso con la brocha y el barniz fuí pintando parte por parte de la mesa. Wow! Ya se comienza a notar el cambio 😍.
Step 4.In this step with the brush and the varnish I painted part by part of the table. wow! The change is already beginning to be noticed 😍.
Ahora vamos a esperar a que el barniz seque muy bien para pegar los apliques de mariposa y flores elaborados con masa flexible.
Now we are going to wait for the varnish to dry very well to stick the butterfly and flower appliques made with flexible dough.
Paso 5.
Pasado el tiempo de secado del barniz, con la pistola de silicón coloqué uno a uno los apliques, en este caso usé dos mariposas y flores de colores.
Step 5.After the varnish had dried, I applied the appliques one by one with the silicone gun, in this case I used two colored butterflies and flowers.

Ahora sí amigos, aquí tenemos el resultado final, así de linda quedó la mesita para la habitación de mi hija, la sonrisa y cara de Roseilyn no tiene precio, estamos felices y satisfechas con el resultado final.
Now yes friends, here we have the final result, that's how beautiful the table for my daughter's room was, Roseilyn's smile and face is priceless, we are happy and satisfied with the result end.

Qué genial!, ver tu proceso nos anima a todos a realizar estas actividades en casa. Volvimos a la vida un viejo mueble con pocas cosas y ha quedado aun mejor que como estaba al comprarlo pues le dimos ese toque personal de nosotros.
