Hello lovelies,
I am into crafts for a decade now but in the last few years I've put to little time for handmade art creations. When my toddler was 'big' enough to start making different crafts I was really happy that I get the chance to 'spare' some time on creation and diy crafts!
All of the crafts we make together are mostly to develop his fine motor skills, patience, hand eye coordination, creativity and imagination. Othen than being fun and relaxing, that's the biggest reason we do crafts! I want that my little child enrich his imagination, to get creative and one day he can come with crafts ideas on his own.
I always let him try and get involved into crafting, not just watching. That's also part of our homeschooling dairy.
So here they are!
Two craft ideas of Handmade Rainbow Art
First we did the Rainbow made out of colored paper and scissors. You only need colored paper. If you don't have some, it's even better I guess. You can paint some white paper and make your own.
This is the perfect activity you can try with your children, if they're around. You can do it together. You can get creative and come up with your own ideas on decorating this easy diy rainbow. π
My toddler was 2 yrs and 3 mo at the time so I did the cutting. He only assembled the paper one with another. π
In our case, Caleb knew already the colors of the rainbow. Like a pro! But if your child isn't familiar with them, you can show him a rainbow photo or maybe you have one of these wooden rainbows, like we do. You can also get creative and make a diy craft to use it as a model. Or you can simply paint it to have something to look at.
Btw, here's something we did back the time. We still have a lot of rainbow making arts and crafts.
These are the things you'll need:
- blue/indigo colored paper
- cotton pads
- colored popsicle sticks
- glue and scissors
- crafty eyes (optional)
- one thin little piece of white cardboard
Again, if you don't have blue paper, you can color it or paint it. π
If you don't have wooden colored popsicles, you can use strips of colored paper as well.
First thing we did was to glue the wooden popsicles on the blue paper.
Then I cut a cloud shape out of the little white cardboard and Caleb here glued the eyes.
After that, the next step is to simply glue the cotton pads and the cloud together with the colored posicles on the blue paper.
It's not difficult at all. ππ
You can use it as the front of a handmade card or make a frame for it and diplay it into your children's room. πΌοΈ

Hope u liked our creations. π
You can do these crafts at preschool, kindergarden or school. You can make it at home and you can improvize too. You can add some more elements along with these ones.
Here's another idea, similar with this one. You can do them both. If you google 'colored popsicles craft ideas' you'll find plenty of them!
Thank you for reading, everyone!
Wish you a wonderful week ahead!

Beautiful publication, quite colorful. Reminded me of the times when my 9 year old cousin was left in my care and I would sit with her all afternoon doing crafts. It's lovely
Thank you for sharing.
Ohh thats nice to hear! It seems you guys had a good time together.π
I'm glad you liked my post!
This is full of cuteness, creativity, playfulness rainbows and beautiful colors. How could I ignore this? Thanks for brightening up my timeline and keep up the good work as a mom :<)

I do my best to keep doing the rounds and spread kindness and positivity among my Hive friends ;^)
I am happy to see that you are doing so well on here, these days.
Big hug!
Ohh thanks so much! You're way too kind!
I also try my best to socialize and interact (and I'm happy when I do it, I dont do it just because I have to), but I find so little time between my life as a mom and my other stuff.
I love blogging on hive and definetely one of its best things is the fact that we, as people from different parts of the world, can engage in one other's lives and actually learn from each other. Plus, as you said, a little kindness and friendliness doesn't hurt anyone!
Love what you're doing. You've always been so kind and gentle. Hugs from Romania too.
Very nice indeed!
Thank you so much!
