Interesting bird. It belongs to the Piciformes as well as the woodpeckers. I know it from African camps, where it usually gives itself away with its voice. The problem is getting a usable photo when it's high up in the branches. At least the sky is usually blue, which is a good background that determines the quality of the photo.
Zajímavý pták. Patří mezi šplhavce (Piciformes) stejně jako datel nebo strakapoud. Znám ho z afrických kempů, kde se obvykle prozradí hlasem. Problém je získat použitelnou fotku, když je vysoko ve větvích. Aspoň že je obvykle modrá obloha, což je dobré pozadí, které rozhoduje o kvalitě fotky.
