Hi guys ^^
Here’s my drawing for the Holozing. It was two days ago that I thought of drawing something different so I had this idea of drawing one of the creatures from Holozing and then draw the human version of them next to it. As for my first drawing I decided to draw Zingu because he looks so lovely.
To do the sketch I wanted to draw the human form as she is hugging Zingu but when I wanted to draw it I thought it’s kinda hard to draw it that way so I went on with the second idea and draw Zingu in her hands. This one was not much easier but I could draw it without a hand reference. I don’t know, maybe it was better to find a reference pic because her fingers look a bit long. :D I also decided to change Zingu appearance to make her look cute. I made him look a little round but kept the remarkable feature so that he wouldn’t look like something other than Zingu. ^^
When I finished the sketch, now it was time to do the coloring. I started with coloring the skin first, and after shading and highlighting I went on coloring her facial feature and the little Zingu. I worked on the Zingu and tried to make him look cute. After that, I worked on her hair and drew lots of hair strands.
In the end, I worked on the details and drew some new things I thought of adding as the drawing was in progress. For instance, i thought her clothes are not shown in this portrait and I wanted to make her look more feminine so I thought of drawing some shapes as it’s part of her dress and I liked the result so I also designed something on her hair. I also thought the collar part was so simple so I drew a pattern on it. And my favorite detail was when I drew a necklace for the little Zingu. He looks so cute with it that I’m gonna cry~~~~~ TT
I kept the background without any details because I wanted to focus to be on the characters.

Please do you have guide on your skin painting? Like a reference piece or tutorials?
Thank you~ 😍 If you wanna paint the skin, first use the darker color to shade the darker areas and then add a layer under that layer and now use a lighter color and shade. And if you want to add tint of pink set the layer on “overlay” and with a pink soft-airbrush color the parts you want it to be pinkish. This is what I found so useful. In the end, use a light color to add the highlights on the skin.
