El 8 de marzo se celebra el Día Internacional de la Mujer, esta celebración fue creada con el propósito de apoyar la lucha por la participación, la igualdad, y el empoderamiento de las mujeres alrededor del mundo en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad. Lo cual es maravilloso, para algunos parecerá una tontería, pero si vemos un poco la historia este día es también un reconocimiento a esas mujeres que se atrevieron a dar pasos para que hoy nosotras estemos mucho más cómodas y podamos incursionar en muchas áreas sin temor o así debería ser.
Si han visto películas como Enola Holmes, verás entre su guion y trama, como se supone debían ser o no las damas de la época, al comienzo de la primera película vemos como el hermano mayor de Enola se escandaliza al verla sin guantes y sin sombrero, pues era como se suponía debían vestir las señoritas y damas de la época, también se hace mención del corse y de como esta prenda muy usada en la época representaba de una manera muy sutil opresión para las mujeres, aunque resaltaba la figura, las consecuencias de usarlo eran muchas.
De ahí que, vemos como las mujeres durante años hemos sida solo vistas como capaces de ser solo madres, amas de casa y hasta de cerebros vacíos y frívolos, al punto de que algunas escuelas solo enseñaban a las niñas a ser damas refinadas a bordas, tejer y como dirigir a la servidumbre de la casa.

Aunque esto fue cambiando, gracias a muchas luchadoras, hoy podemos estudiar carreras como medicina y derecho, que en otras épocas estaban reservadas solo para los hombres, pero tristemente en algunos países por costumbre y/o religión hay muchas mujeres oprimidas obligadas a vivir cosas como la mutilación genital, por solo dar un ejemplo.
Ahora bien, la lucha antigua y actual de muchas damas alrededor de mundo ha demostrado que sin lugar a dudas somos el motor que mueve el mundo que podemos hacer de todo, incluida la mecánica, que podemos trabajar y atender un hogar que somos el corazón que mantiene muchas veces el hogar de pie, pero hay un detalle, muchas veces nos olvidamos de nosotras mismas.
Muchas veces las mujeres al ser tan entregadas nos dejamos para después, para el final, olvidando que si no estamos bien, no podremos seguir ayudando a los que nos rodean y amamos tanto, nos da pena tomarnos un tiempo para descansar, o nos negamos a descansar como se debe cuando estamos enfermas o llevamos a todos al médico y al dentista y no lo vamos nosotras.

Pensando en todo esto, he aprendido y puesto en práctica el tomarme tiempo para mí, para descansar, comerme un helado, salir a caminar sola, encontrarme con mis amigas, en fin, en buscar el bienestar también para mí, pues en la medida que yo esté bien los míos también lo estarán.

Although this was changing, thanks to many fighters, today we can study careers such as medicine and law, which in other times were reserved only for men, but sadly in some countries by custom and / or religion there are many oppressed women forced to live things like genital mutilation, just to give an example.
Now, the ancient and current struggle of many ladies around the world has shown that without a doubt we are the engine that moves the world, that we can do everything, including mechanics, that we can work and take care of a home, that we are the heart that often keeps the home standing, but there is a detail, we often forget about ourselves.
Many times women, being so dedicated, we leave ourselves for later, for the end, forgetting that if we are not well, we can not continue helping those around us and we love so much, we are ashamed to take time to rest, or we refuse to rest as we should when we are sick or we take everyone to the doctor and the dentist and we do not go ourselves.
Thinking about all this, I have learned and put into practice to take time for myself, to rest, to eat an ice cream, to go for a walk alone, to meet my friends, in short, to seek wellness for me too, because as long as I am well, my family will be well too.
