Yesterday, when I was riding the bus home, I saw a young man with crutches who had difficulty walking. Perhaps he had been in an accident. As I traveled and looked at the streets, I began to think about how fortunate we are to be able to walk and how often we complain about trivial things. At that moment, I felt grateful for everything I have, and I realized that my list is very long. I even felt grateful for having my two dogs. However, in order to do the exercise that Liliana proposes, today, and for the next 25 days, I am going to be grateful for three things, and then add three more for the following 25 days, and so on.

Life
My moment of gratitude is when I wake up in the morning. My first thought is, “Thank you, God, for another day of life.” Life is the most precious thing we have, and we should be grateful for it. Years ago, an acquaintance left me with a phrase that stuck with me, and I remember it as if it were yesterday: “I asked God for everything in life, and he gave me a life so that I could have everything.” There is no need to explain such beautiful and true words. Recently, I felt that a miracle from God allowed me to continue here. Due to the recklessness of a family member, some criminals almost broke into my house at midday while I was inside. I don't know how the keys to the upstairs doors ended up outside the house, and to make matters worse, I had removed the bolt from the door.
I worked for two days straight, and one afternoon, I don't remember why, I went upstairs, found the latch out of place, and put it back. Two days later, instead of working straight through, I decided to go home for lunch. I was about to leave when I heard noises; they were about to break in. Thank God the latch prevented them from doing so; it would have been a tragedy. I am grateful to still be here, to be alive.

For health
I am always grateful for my good health. Every year I have gynecological exams, breast ultrasounds, and mammograms, and the results have been good. I have had some embarrassing health problems, such as dengue fever (the serology test showed both the classic and hemorrhagic types), pyelonephritis, and infectious cellulitis. Thank God I was able to overcome these terrible illnesses, and today I am in good health.
I watch what I eat and exercise, an activity that makes me very happy and helps me stay healthy. Exercise releases happiness hormones—it's not just a theory, it's real, and it changes your mood for the better. I am grateful to be able to see, breathe, talk, walk, and take care of myself.
My home
I am grateful for having a roof over my head, a warm bed, a place that I consider my refuge and where I can take shelter with complete confidence and peace of mind. Having a place that shelters us on cold nights and provides us with security is priceless. I thank God for this and ask Him to bless it always.

The list is very long, but these are the first three things I am going to be thankful for over the next 25 days.
I invite

Saludos.
