Unos niños salieron a pasear un día por la orilla de la playa y vieron un peñero. Se acercaron y al mirar dentro estaban dos pescadores seleccionando conchas.
—¿Que hacen? —Preguntó uno de los niños.
—Seleccionando los mejores moluscos, niño.
Primera vez que el niño escuchaba esta palabra tan rara.
—¿Puedo ayudarle señor?
—Creo que no puedes. ¿Sabes cuales son las conchas que me llevo a mi casa y cuáles dejo acá en la playa?
—Es fácil, se lleva las mas bonitas y deja las más feas.
—¡Jajaja no no!, es alrevez. Me llevo las feas.
Los niños se miraron entre ellos las caras con asombro y otro niño le preguntó al pescador:
—Por que haría tal cosa? Llévese las más bonitas.
—¿Sabes que tipo de conchas son estas, niño? Son ostras. Quizás por fuera no tengan nada especial, pero si tengo suerte, podría conseguir algo muy bonito y valioso dentro.
Algo llamado perla. A veces las cosas mas valiosas no se ven.

Esto va para ti, el que está buscando empleo.¿Sabes cómo se forma una perla? Cuando un cuerpo extraño entra dentro de una ostra y ésta con el transcurrir del tiempo lo envuelve en nácar. ¿A qué quiero llegar con esto? Que tú podrías ser como esa otra. A partir de los conocimientos que recibes o recibiste como parte de tu formación académica te estás desarrollando o has desarrollado tu personalidad y perfil profesional. Aún cuando quizás te falte un poco de tiempo y experiencia tienes, por decirlo así, ese algo dentro de ti que se podría convertir en tu activo mas valioso.
Queda de tu parte ponerle manos a la obra y trabajar en ti mismo para ser cada día mejor, y no hablo solo académicamente, sino crecer y desarrollarte en calidad de persona. Mucho se habla de desarrollar mente de Tiburón, de ser ambicioso, de tener carácter, de brillar por tener seguridad, pero para un momento, analiza bien esos conceptos antes de desarrollarlos dentro de ti. Porque quizás en vez de cultivar perlas podrías estar cultivando basura, que a la larga no te va a servir en realidad, sino para meterte en problemas. A mi modo de ver la verdadera mente de Tiburón se confunde con otro concepto para nada positivo. Muchas veces la gente piensa que debe convertirse en un depredador aprovechado de las debilidades ajenas. La verdadera ganancia está en ver tu potencial y aprovecharlo para tu beneficio y el de los demás. Ser una persona ambiciosa, tener carácter y demostrar seguridad en ti mismo van ligados al EQUILIBRIO y AUTOCONTROL. Todo en exceso es contraproducente, así que desarrolla cualidades mas nobles en mayor proporción, como la honestidad, el compromiso, el respeto por los demás, la consideración y la solidaridad.

El mundo está cambiando y también sus valores. No todo lo que se publicita como bueno lo es.
Al igual que desarrollas tus cualidades deseables como buen empleado, sigue mejorando y creciendo a nivel profesional. Sigue haciendo cursos de capacitación. Tus conocimientos aumentarán, así como también tu hoja de vida se verá mucho más atractiva para los reclutadores. Que bella ostra tendremos con una doble perla si te desarrollas hermosamente como individuo y como profesional.
Ahora debo hablar con los reclutadores o los de Recursos Humanos. ¿Están desechando las conchas feas como lo harían los niños del cuento? ¿Están siendo superficiales al escoger al personal? ¿A qué le dan más valor?

Les daré un ejemplo:
En una tienda de computadoras me atendió un excelente vendedor y me vendió una tableta para mí hija. Al ir a cancelar, la hermosísima y despampanante encargada de despachar el producto le colocó un protector de pantalla equivocado a la tableta y ella pensó que sería buena idea pasarle un cutter sobre la pantalla y así cortar el pedazo que le estaba tapando el orificio de salida del sonido. Con lo que hizo rayó la pantalla abriéndole 4 franjas y se ganó una queja enorme de la clienta que devolvió el producto exigiendo que le dieran uno en óptimo estado. ¿La falla fue de ella? A mí manera de ver no. Fue del reclutador y del sistema de inducción. Esa chica era visualmente óptima para el puesto, pero no tenía idea del trabajo que debía hacer. ¿Entonces, a qué le dieron prioridad? Al atractivo visual por encima de las competencias.
Estoy segura de que es importante para algunos puestos de trabajo la buena presencia, pero no podemos comportarnos como niños al escoger personal.

In my opinion the true Shark mind is confused with another concept that is not positive at all. Many times people think they have to become a predator by taking advantage of other people's weaknesses. The real gain is in seeing your potential and harnessing it for your benefit and the benefit of others. Being an ambitious person, having character and demonstrating self-confidence go hand in hand with BALANCE and SELF-CONTROL. At a computer store I was served by an excellent salesperson and she sold me a tablet for my daughter.
