Que tal amigos, vengo a unirme a ésta iniciativa de la mano de @tibaire, dónde nos invita a hablar del origen de nuestros nombres en conversando con nuestros ancestros, referente a “EL PODER DE MI NOMBRE”.
Nuestro nombre nuestra primera carta de presentación, con lo cual nos identifican al momento de nacer, es como nuestra huella dactilar, toda persona, animal o cosa debe tener un nombre por el cuál debe ser identificado o llamado.

Debo aclarar que siempre estuve clara de porque me llamo Mariela y de ahí el porque cuando era adolescente no me gustaba mucho mi nombre, no es que mi nombre fuera feo sino porque era un nombre repetido en mi núcleo familiar, la primera en llamarse así fue mi prima mayor.
Pues les cuento mi nombre es Mariela Josefina, mi madre una sra humilde, de campo, cuando dió a luz a ésta híja de Dios, no tenía elegido nombre para mí, ya había tenido díez hijos antes que yo jajaja soy la menor, creo que ya se le habían acabado las opciones, resulta que mi madre tampoco tuvo relaciones fraternales con sus hermanos, ya que ella fue abandonada por su madre ósea mi abuela, mi mamá se crió con mi abuelo alejada de sus medios hermanos, los conocía pero no eran unidos ni crecieron como hermanos.

Well, I tell you my name is Mariela Josefina, my mother is a humble lady, from the countryside, when she gave birth to this daughter of God, she had not chosen a name for me, she had already had ten children before me hahaha I am the youngest, I think she had run out of options, it turns out that my mother did not have sisterly relations with her brothers either, since she was abandoned by her mother, that is, my grandmother, my mother grew up with my grandfather away from her half-siblings, she knew them but they were not united nor did they grow up as brothers.
Entonces mi mamá un día estando embarazada conoció a la hija de uno de esos hermanos, la niña se llamaba Lourdes Mariela, pero todos la llamaban Mariela, a mi mamá le gustó ese nombre y la niña porque era muy bella, no se si por ella me llamó así, un día me dijo que me colocó ése nombre en combinación con María, ella y mi abuela se llamaban María, yo hasta que crecí entendí que si que Mariela y María son dos nombres que guardan una estrecha relación.
Entonces María Antonia así se llamaba mi progenitora, que ese nombre si me viese gustado llamarme, al momento de dar a luz me puso por nombre Mariela Josefina, que tal?? Josefina por la comadrona que la atendió, porque en el campo eran pocos los que tenían acceso a asistir a un centro de salud, vivíamos alejados del pueblo y sin carro, el Josefina también por del Dr José Gregorio Hernández el medico de los pobres, así que a él le debo parte de mi nombre, mi madre era muy devota de él.
Mi hermana mayor decía que mi mamá vió a ésa niña tan hermosa que quedó impactada que por eso cuando tuvo a ésta servidora, no lo dudó e inmediatamente decidió llamarme Mariela.
En mi casa yo era Marielita así me llaman mi hermanos.
Entonces al morir mi madre fui a vivir con una tía y ahí conocí y compartí con la otra Mariela, nuestra familia cuando se referían a mi me llamaban Mariela Pérez con todo y apellido, y a mi prima simplemente Mariela, claro ella era la fundadora .

My older sister said that my mother saw that beautiful girl and she was shocked, which is why when she had this servant, she did not hesitate and immediately decided to call me Mariela.
In my house I was Marielita, that's what my brothers call me.
So when my mother died I went to live with an aunt and there I met and shared with the other Mariela, our family when they referred to me they called me Mariela Pérez with full name, and my cousin simply Mariela, of course she was the founder.
No conforme con tener el mismo nombre que mi prima, mi hermano mayor tuvo una hija y también le puso Mariela está vez en honor a su hermanita menor es decir yo, ahora sí, como decimos por aquí éramos mucho y parió la abuela.
No se pueden imaginar lo incómodo que es tres personas de la misma familia con el mismo nombre, viviendo en el mismo pueblo y contemporáneos.
Siempre me sentía incómoda, porque no es que no me gustaba mi nombre, sino siempre tenía que estar aclarando soy Mariela Pérez, pero fue elección de mi madre.
Hasta que crecí y fuí madurando y la confusión de tantas Marielas más bien lo tomaba por el lado divertido y en el liceo no coincidi con mi prima, luego cada Mariela quedó viviendo en ciudades diferentes.
Ahora nos identificamos y bromeamos, Mariela Torrealba, Mariela Pérez y Mariela González, creo que no estoy lista para otra Mariela más...

En mi familia el nombre que se repite es Juan. Hay como 5 entre primos hermanos y algunos de sus hijos.
Cuando yo estaba embarazada de mi primer niño, al saber que sería varón todos me sugirieron que le pusiera también Juan como primer nombre, pues mi abuelo se llamó Juan Bautista y a raíz de eso empezaron los demás a colocarle el nombre a sus hijos. Además, el padre de mis niños se llama Juan Carlos, así que había como que muchos hombres con el mismo nombre y me decidí por unos que no tenía nadie en la familia, para que tuvieran por lo menos la exclusividad de iniciar su propia lista si quieren.
Los nombres repetidos en la misma familia son más común de lo que uno cree , saludos gracias por leer y comentar mí post.

It's not fun when you share the name with a lot of others, it can be very frustrating. However, your name is lovely. Mariela Josefina - I like your middle name better though, although Josefina may be pronounced differently in non Spanish languages. It's a beautiful name, I mean both, so be proud of it and thanks for sharing your story.
