Con sus memes, post o videos quieren dar lecciones de cómo vivir bien, de alcanzar el éxito y de cuantas cosas se les ocurre. En muchos casos, estos pseudos expertos repiten como aves parlanchines frases y citas sin comprender sus significados o la utilizan sin importar que el contexto original ya no aplique. En días recientes escuché a una de estas personas en una video conferencia preguntándoles a las personas ¿Quieres mejorar?, entonces debes dar un giro de 360 grados a tu vida, es la única forma de cambiar.

Les cuento que a veces me inscribo en este tipo de eventos vía Zoom tan solo para observar la cantidad de sandeces que dicen muchos gurúes, los cuales sin haber leído un libro se consideran los genios del crecimiento personal. En esta ocasión me voy a referir a la frase con la cual título este artículo.
Comencemos por las matemáticas que implica la frase, los 360 grados equivale a 2 phi radiales que es la longitud del arco de una circunferencia, todos deben recordar sus clases de matemáticas de bachillerato. Cuando un móvil recorre el arco de la circunferencia se va desplazando por los grados que la componen. El desplazarse 360 grados implica matemáticamente regresar al punto de origen. ¿Cuál es la gracia de decirle a una persona que gire sobre sí mismo y regrese al mismo sitio? Lo pertinente sería decirle si quieres cambiar da un giro de 80 grados a tu vida, esto te llevara a estar en dirección diametralmente opuesta al punto donde te encontrabas.
Muchas personas son muy resistentes al cambio, y mucho más si tienes que dejar radicalmente lo que vienen haciendo. Por eso es mejor decirles que con moverse unos pocos grados hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda ya va a tener otro ángulo de ver su propia vida. Pequeños cambios son en muchos casos más impactantes.
Quizás quienes usen frecuentemente esta frase de girar en 360 grados tu vida se refieran a otro método muy usado en la gerencia como es la evaluación 360. Su ignorancia los lleva a la confusión de las ideas y de las herramientas.

Con la evaluación 360, colocamos al individuo en el centro de la circunferencia. De esta manera, el mismo puede evaluar cada uno los aspectos de su vida. En el caso de que se evalúe el desempeño de alguien con funciones supervisoras, se busca que cada uno de las personas que interactúen con el mencionado funcionario nos suministre su opinión, preferiblemente de manera anónima para el evaluado. Al final se le muestra los resultados de esa visión total que le da su círculo de actuación.
