Hola, les doy la bienvenida a mi blog y a una nueva publicación desde la comunidad del crecimiento personal, nuestra querida Holos&Lotus. En esta ocasión he venido para atender una invitación de @esthersanchez, quien amablemente me ha invitado para que me uniera a una de las excelentes iniciativas de @charjaim, quien presentó la frase "Si yo hubiera sabido" en la edición #16 de su columna Esa vida nuestra.
Por cierto, recibí la invitación hace un mes. Si, leyeron bien, no fue un error de lectura por parte de ustedes, ni mío de redacción al escribir que la invitación la recibí hace un mes. Que vergüenza, ya ha pasado tiempo, soy la peor para atender invitaciones y aquí estoy, llegando tarde pero con mucho cariño sincero y tratando de transmitir mi opinión personal de la forma correcta para todos los que me leen.
Bien, prosigo para atender el tema de la iniciativa y es que cuando la leí me vino a la mente el siguiente refrán venezolano y muy llanero:
"Si yo hubiera sabido que el sancocho es de carrao, me embarco en mi canoa y me voy para otro lado"
NOTA: El carrao (Aramus guarauna) es un ave y si no lo conoces puedes leer un poquito en Wikipedia.

Bueno, esta expresión la conozco gracias a mi familia materna, que como buenos llaneros son refraneros y todo lo acomodan con un refrán. En lo particular me da mucha risa, lo reconozco, es que tendrían que oír a mi mamá y a mi abuela decirlo con esa jocosidad única que ellas tienen y de paso muy oportunamente en situaciones donde la expresión queda como anillo al dedo, porque más de una vez hemos sentido arrepentimiento por haber hecho algo y también por estar en un lugar, al parecernos que ha sido un error especialmente cuando las consecuencias no son las esperadas.
Todo pasa por algo
Fíjense que en el párrafo anterior dije que más de una vez nos hemos arrepentido y me anoto en la lista porque también entro en ese costal como humana que soy. Aunque, en el duro transitar por la vida vamos viendo las cosas con otro cristal al aprender a conformarnos diciendo que todo pasa por algo. Así me ha sucedido a mí, he aprendido a aceptar que lo mejor es lo que sucede, con sus buenas y malas consecuencias porque estoy convencida de que también puedo aprender de lo malo que pasa y más al reconocer que no puedo saberlo todo y menos predecir el futuro.
Para luego es tarde
Por otro lado, el hecho de sentir arrepentimiento por malas consecuencias al no hacer algo, no decir mi opinión o no ir a un lugar en el momento que lo pensé, me ha enseñado que lo que me venga a la mente para hacer o decir lo haga oportunamente para luego no estar quejándome al decir: si yo hubiera dicho, si yo hubiera hecho, si yo hubiera ido, si yo hubiera sabido... Por supuesto, no existo para evitar que sucedan cosas malas, sin embargo, puedo hacer la parte que me toca sin desgano pues quizás con ello pueda librarme o librar a alguien de una mala experiencia.
Aprendizajes
Pues, muchos son los aprendizajes los cuales ya he resumido anteriormente. Sin duda, para mí la frase "si yo hubiera sabido" me ha regalo muchas lecciones. Finalizo diciendo que nunca fue mi plan estudiar Comunicación Social, mi inclinación era hacia otra profesión pero al estudiar la carrera en la universidad, me enamoré de ella y doy gracias a Dios porque mi profesión me ha permitido actuar con mayor fuerza y alcance hacia otras metas relacionadas con mi celo social. Entonces aquí les dejo otro refrán que es una absoluta verdad: "Nadie sabe para donde va hasta que llega"
Todo es útil, es cuestión de mirar con los ojos espirituales los aprendizajes que hay en cada cosa que hacemos o dejamos de hacer. No nos exijamos tanto y cuando las cosas no salen como esperamos lo mejor que podemos hacer es sacarle provecho sin torturarnos. Bueno, ahora lo digo muy fácil, porque estoy vieja, hace unos años atrás era otra la historia pero eso es lo que hacemos luego de pasar las verdes hasta llegar a las maduras, tratar de emitir mensajes que puedan ayudar a otros en su crecimiento personal. Gracias a Dios por cada oportunidad para avanzar en esta vida nuestra.

What a shame, it's been a while, I'm the worst at attending invitations and here I am, arriving late but with much sincere affection and trying to transmit my personal opinion in the right way for all those who read me.
Well, I continue to address the subject of the initiative and when I read it, the following Venezuelan and very "llanero" proverb came to my mind:
"If I had known that the sancocho is made of carrao, I would embark on my canoe and go somewhere else".
NOTE: The carrao (Aramus guarauna) is a bird and if you don't know it you can read a little bit in Wikipedia.

Well, I know this expression thanks to my maternal family, who as good "llaneros" are "refraneros" and they accommodate everything with a saying. In particular it makes me laugh a lot, I admit it, you would have to hear my mom and my grandmother say it with that unique jocularity that they have and incidentally very timely in situations where the expression fits like a glove, because more than once we have felt regret for having done something and also for being in a place, as it seems to us that it has been a mistake especially when the consequences are not as expected.
Everything happens for a reason
Notice that in the previous paragraph I said that more than once we have had regrets, and I am including myself in the list because I also fit in that category as the human that I am. Although, in the hard journey through life we see things through a different lens as we learn to be content saying that everything happens for a reason. This is what has happened to me, I have learned to accept that the best thing is what happens, with its good and bad consequences because I am convinced that I can also learn from the bad things that happen and more by recognizing that I cannot know everything and even less predict the future.
For then it is too late
On the other hand, the fact of feeling regret for bad consequences by not doing something, not saying my opinion or not going to a place at the time I thought about it, has taught me that whatever comes to my mind to do or say I do it in a timely manner so that later I will not be complaining by saying: if I had said, if I had done, if I had gone, if I had known.... Of course, I do not exist to prevent bad things from happening, however, I can do my part without reluctance because maybe I can save myself or someone else from a bad experience.
Lessons learned
Well, there are many lessons learned, which I have already summarized above. Undoubtedly, for me the phrase "if I had known" has given me many lessons. I conclude by saying that it was never my plan to study Social Communication, my inclination was towards another profession but when I studied the career at the university, I fell in love with it and I thank God because my profession has allowed me to act with greater strength and reach towards other goals related to my social zeal. So here is another saying that is an absolute truth: "Nobody knows where he is going until he gets there "!
Everything is useful, it is a matter of looking with spiritual eyes the learning that is in everything we do or fail to do. Let's not demand so much of ourselves and when things don't go as we expect, the best thing we can do is to take advantage of it without torturing ourselves. Well, now I say it very easy, because I am old, a few years ago was another story but that's what we do after passing the green to get to the ripe, try to issue messages that can help others in their personal growth. Thank God for every opportunity to move forward in this life of ours.
