A few days ago I started reading a book entitled "Epictetus' Manual of Life", suggested by my friend @irvinc, in his book club program through the community of @Holos& Lotus, this community besides providing us with attractive content and initiatives, encourages us to read excellent literary selections continuously, so without further ado here I will share with you my appreciations.
First of all, I will tell you about the creator of this content whose name was Epictetus, a stoic slave who lived around the year 100 A.D. and who did not allow slavery to be a limitation to educate himself and learn about different philosophical currents, which he would later leave as his greatest legacy of his journey through this life.
It is worth mentioning that Epictetus shares with us small enigma and learning through his manual, which after having scrutinized a small part of it, I want to highlight my interest for its great boom in the educational field. This stoic was mainly concerned with training and having an extended vision of life and thus being a transmitter to the generation of his time and future generations through his manual.
With several of his writings he allows us to glimpse how he was thirsty for knowledge and was concerned in his formation even when he was a slave, he had liberating thoughts and somehow dreamed of being free at some stage of his life and so he achieved it by taking the initiative to be a great river with a wealth of knowledge and watering his seed of knowledge rather than being a pond of paralyzed water and not sharing his learning. It also allows us to appreciate some of the roles that we can fulfill in society and describes his perception according to each one of them as a son, as a citizen or as a brother.
I liked the fact that you should always put yourself in your neighbor's shoes so that you can understand the emotional situation they are going through and how this in turn directly influences their decision making.
Another point that Epictetus highlights is his belief in divinity and how we should be grateful for the good or bad things we have, in a way he exhorts us to be grateful and that we all have a mission to fulfill and that is where the place where each one of us is born or the space we occupy in the world comes from. He also shares with us the attitude with which we should accept the things that happen to us, that we should not harbor emotions of frustration or sadness, but rather accept the facts because they are perfect and the sublime decision of the divine designs, even if they are totally out of our reach.
One of the passages that most caught my attention is one that mentions "The wise man is he who willingly accepts all the circumstances that life brings with it at every moment" this leads me to confirm that even when situations happen with which we do not feel comfortable and that on the contrary affect us, we must keep our mind and heart ready to be mature and face such a situation.
Finally my dear friends from everything we read we must draw our own conclusions, and I encourage you firstly to dare to fill your life with these philosophical thoughts and secondly to apply the different principles that this author exposes us on how to live a full life surrounded by the power of knowledge, remember that we are in a changing world that every day new ideas arise and we must learn to move with that same rhythm so that we are at the height of power.

Hace unos días inicie con la lectura de un libro titulado “Manual de vida de Epicteto”, sugerido por el amigo @irvinc, en su programa del club de lectura a través de la comunidad de @Holos& Lotus, está comunidad además de aportarnos atractivo contenido e iniciativas, nos incentiva a leer continuamente excelentes selecciones literarias, así que sin más preámbulos aquí les compartiré mis apreciaciones.
Primeramente les hablaré del creador de este contenido quien se llamaba Epicteto, un estoico esclavo quien vivió alrededor del año 60 D.C. y quién no permitió que la esclavitud fuera una limitante para educarse y conocer diferentes corrientes filosóficas, las cuales mañanas más tarde dejaría como su mayor legado de su transitar por esta vida.
Cabe destacar que Epicteto nos comparte pequeños enigma y aprendizajes a través de su manual, el cual después de haber escudriñado una pequeña parte de él, quiero resaltar mi interés por su gran auge en el ámbito educativo. Este estoico se preocupó principalmente por formarse y tener una visión extendida de la vida y de esta forma ser transmisor a la generación de su época y las futuras a través de su manual.
Con varios de sus escritos él nos permite vislumbrar como él estaba sediento de conocimiento y se preocupó en su formación aun cuando era un esclavo, él tenía pensamientos liberadores y de cierta forma soñaba con ser libre en alguna etapa de su vida y así lo logro tomando como iniciativa ser un gran rio con un caudal de conocimiento y regar su semilla del saber que ser un estanque de agua paralizada y no compartir sus aprendizajes. También nos permite apreciar algunos de los roles que podemos cumplir alguna persona en la sociedad y nos describe su percepción de acuerdo a cada uno de ellos como hijo, como ciudadano o como hermano.
De esto me gustó el que uno siempre debe ponerse en los zapatos de tu prójimo para que puedas entender la situación emocional por la que atraviesa y como está a su vez influye directamente en la toma de sus decisiones.
Otro de los puntos que resalta Epicteto es su creencia es la divinidad y como debemos ser agradecidos por las cosas buenas o malas que tenemos, de cierta forma nos exhorta al agradecimiento y que todos poseemos una misión que cumplir y de allí radica el lugar donde cada uno nace o el espacio que ocupa en el mundo. También nos comparte la actitud con la cual debemos aceptar las cosas que nos suceden, que no alberguemos emociones de frustración o tristeza, sino por el contrato aceptar los hechos porque son perfecto y decisión sublime de los designios divinos así estén totalmente fuera de nuestro alcance.
Uno de los pasajes que más me llamo la atención es uno que menciona “El sabio es aquel que acepta de buena gana todas las circunstancias que la vida trae consigo en cada momento” esto me lleva a confirmar que aun cuando suceden situaciones con las cuales no nos sentimos cómodos y que por el contrario nos afectan, debemos mantener nuestra mente y corazón dispuestos a ser maduros y afrontar dicha situación.
Finalmente mis queridos amigo de todo lo que leemos debemos sacar nuestras propias conclusiones, y yo los animo primeramente a que se atrevan a llenar su vida de estos pensamientos filosóficos y segundo que apliquemos los diferentes principios que nos expone este autor acerca de cómo vivir una vida plena rodeado del poder del conocimiento, recordemos que estamos en un mundo cambiante que todos los días surgen nuevas ideas y que debemos aprender a movernos con ese mismo ritmo para que estemos en el auge del poder.

Pd. Lamentablemente la electricidad no me permitió hacer el programa del miércoles, lo reprogramamos para la próxima semana, el miércoles 17, ojalá puedas estar.
Si fue una verdadera lastima que no pudieras realizar el programa, espero que para ese día pautado todos podamos estar.
Me gusta la manera como este autor nos describe la vida muy a pesar de haber vivido gran parte de ella en esclavitud.
