Snow more snow please, we've already had our fill. Actually didn't get all that much, it just never left and its welcome wore out long ago.
More annoyance than hazard now, but this town ain't used to it being so persistent. Thankfully, our long sojourn in the deep freeze seems to have come to an end, the figurative mercury almost hit 50F today. Downright balmy.
Must have hit some sort of jackpot, supposed to get up into the mid-sixties tomorrow. Wasn't going to let this heat wave pass me by, had to get out and go shooting today.
It's always a bit peculiar to be out and about when everything is covered in snow and ice while the weather is nice. Not complaining, just about the best way to enjoy the frozen stuff. The critters didn't seem to mind a bit either.
Managed to catch a glimpse of at least four different kinds of woodpeckers and said hi to the sandhill cranes making a flyby.
Had been thinking of going to Jefferson Memorial Forest tomorrow to take advantage of proper hiking weather, but today's adventure in variable traction was enough to convince me that might be ill advised.
As long as there's snow more snow by the time the sun sets tomorrow, it doesn't matter where I go.
