Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. This time it's the turn of the rodentian and canisan creatures of the conclave arcana reward set.

First, let's learn a little about the canisans from the Splinterlands lore.

Canisans Lore

There are 4 canisan from the rebellion edition.

And there are also two canisan from the foundation edition and one from the chaos legion.

And on November 22, the first canisan archon, Loving the Moo, will be available, capable of summoning any canisan regardless of their element, and will grant them the poison ability. Additionally, Loving the Moo can grant the blast and magic reflect abilities to two units.

Gravebrand Warlock

Gravebrand Warlock starts at level 1 with no abilities, but at level 2, it has the Swiftness ability, which increases the speed of its allies by 1, as long as this card is alive. At level 4, it has the Execute ability, so if this card, after a succesfull attack, the target has 2 health or less, it will perform another attack against the same unit. And at max level, it gains the Soul Siphon ability, which allows it to resurrect with 50% health points, each time there is a non-weary allied unit. And as a consequence, the health of the ally with the most health will be reduced by 50% and will have the weary debuff.

This is my favorite canisan, it costs 8 mana and has a powerful magic attack power of 4, that's amazing. It's first two abilities are pretty good allowing it to secure kills on low enemy units. But its last ability doesn't convince me, because although it resurrects, the side effect on its allies is bad. Therefore, I think players will decide to leave it at level 7 or max it out. Personally, I prefer this card without the Soul Syphon, but of course I can be wrong, anyway, it's a great card.

Stonebind Matron

Stonebind Matron starts at level 1 with the Opportunity ability, which allows it, while in the backline, to attack the enemy unit with the lowest health. At level 5, it gains the Triage ability, which allows it to restore a third of the max health of the backline allied that has taken the most damage each round. And at max level, it gains the Poison Burst ability, so when it is defeated, the enemy who defeats it will receive poison and there is also a 50% chance that allies adjacent to the attacker will receive poison.

Another magic canisan that I also like because it has decent attack power and good stats. Definitely, it will perform best in battles where only units with magic attacks are allowed.

RODENTIAN

Now, it's the turn of the units with the Rodentian bloodline. First, let's look a little about the lore of rodentians in Splinterlands.

Rodentian Lore

There are 5 rodentian from the rebellion edition and 3 from the conclave arcana edition.
image.png

In the foundation edition, there are 4 rodentians.

image.png

And there are also 13 rodentians from the chaos legion edition.

Kervik

Kervik starts at level 1 with the Sneak ability, which allows it, while in the backline, to attack the enemy unit in the last position. At level 2, it gains the Camouflage ability, so it cannot receive direct attacks unless it is in the first position. At level 3, it gains the expose ability, so it will have a 80% chance to remove defensive abilities such as shield, void or forcefield from the enemies it attacks. And at level 4, it will be able to restore a third of its max health in each round.

This rodentian has a really decent attack power for only 5 mana, but its stats aren't good, so it will perform better in the backline position. Its expose ability is really good, so enemy units with shield will also be in danger against it.

Anchor-Hex Adept

Anchor-Hex Adept starts with no abilities. At level 2, it gains the divine shield ability, so the first damage it will take will be ignored, except for poison and debilitations effects such as electrified and burning. At level 4, it gains the Void Armor ability, so magic attacks will damage its armor before its health. And at max level, it has the Blind ability, so it will apply the blinded status to enemy units, causing melee and ranged units to have a 15% chance of missing their attacks.

It has decent magic attack power and excellent stats for 7 mana. And its abilities are defensive, not bad at all. Of course, it will perform best in battles with only magic units and when only units with odd mana are allowed.

Saltwraith Pirate

Saltwraith Pirate starts at level 1 with the Bloodline Tribute ability, so when defeated, it will grant +1 melee attack power to its melee rodentian allies, and +1 to all stats of its rodentian allies. At level 2, it has the True Strike ability, so its attacks will never miss. And at level 6, it gains the Relentless Strike ability, therefore its attacks will deal true damage, and will deal 1 extra damage to units with the shield, void or forcefield abilities.

This rodentian will be excelent for powering up its rodentian allies with melee attacks like Kervik. It only costs 4 mana, so it will definitely be a great option in low mana battles and when the little league modifier is active.
