I still play my splinterlands and I think the new system probably makes it a lot more enticing for newer players and hard working players. For me Im earning less chests now, not sure about how it balances in terms of rewards, but then I only play a few games per day, so really, those rewards should be going to those who play more often. Im sure there are probably issues but the devs always seem to work hard on getting them ironed out!
Getting the balance right in games is not easy. I don't envy the devs.
