Time for change!

Prologue

A month ago, I wrote a post about how I got to establish my perfect plot. Since then, a lot has changed - mainly the price for stone has dropped like, well, a stone. It dropped from 130 DEC/1k Stone in July to 75 DEC. And that made my calculations for my perfect plot be obsolete.

But that's okay, because there are ways to remedy that. I have two grain plots, too, so I started to play around a little.

De-Perfecting

This was the setup for my stone plot before the changes I made. This does not include an extra CC of the Fire Spitter, which I got later.

Since producing grain now has a 29% advantage over stone, I decided to pull both the Fire Spitter as the card with highest CC from the plot, as well as the Twisted Jester. I have a bog, and that's a plot where the Death Splinter gets a 10% bonus - so changing the Jester makes sense.

I also removed the title and the totem from the stone plot. It no runs only on the 10% bonus for being a rare plot.

With only half its former production it has gone down quite a bit, but provides still a good chunk of my total production. As this plot has a 10% bonus, I rather have the good cards producing here.

Grains, grains, grains

This is what my production sheet looks before the changes:

And this one after:

I'm back to the Dark Energy that I had before I initiated the changes. After switching around some of the cards, I now produce 230 Grain more per hour. That's equivalent to 2 DEC at the current prices.

And I can still do more - I can switch another GF Epic Beta Card with 3 CC to the plot that now has the totem and the title. That plot looked like this before:

Harklaw there is my first rented card on land, by the way. I used the BLT to find out how much I can make with a GF CL Legend, and compared that to the price for rent - it was positive for me, so I tried it out. Not sure how it will go. I'll probably do something like @thejedo back in the days, and have one plot run only on rented cards - would be interesting to see how that turns out!

Anyway, I did some changes on this plot:

It's now a very strong plot. Though the Fire Spitter does not get any bonus here, its PP is boosted enough by the title and totem to make a significant contribution to the overall production. This plot alone makes me around 3 DEC/h, after taxes and feeding the workers.

The Impact

I forgot to take a snapshot of the production before I took the spitter and the jester out of the plot. I took this screenshot before placing the cards on the grain plot:

I also took one after doing all the changes. My production went up by 1,3 DEC/h, net income.

Conclusion

There's still the Mischievous Mermaid that I want to switch. I will take it of its plot now, and in 3 days I can put it back into play. We'll see how things go from there!

I'm pretty sure that I will find a way to boost my earnings to 10 DEC/h on land without much more investment. Switching the cards around might just be enough - for now. It all depends on how the prices develop in the future.

Have you switched some cards around lately to adjust to the new resource prices?

Thank you!

Juggling the positions on land to get the benefits is a slow process, I’ve moved a lot of my production to grain plots at the moment so hopefully will see the benefits

I haven't made any switches... but I did notice the drop in Stone which is disappointing, but it truly was too good for too long.

What tool did you use to get those last two screenshots? I'm not sure I've seen that one before.

That's the BLT, Beaker's Land Tool. I usually tag it when I use it, I might have missed this here, and I don't have it on my cellphone, but I think he just made an update on his blog... Just a second...

That's the last update. And the link is in there, too, but I only copied the post link 😅 sorry, it's late here and my brain is weird. Better go to sleep now. Hope this helps, anyway!

Oh excellent! Thank you! Hope you have a great sleep dreaming about all the grain you're farming.
