In the past year, the Splinterlands business, development and marketing teams have added more holiday engagement into the game. Special contests, social media engagement, seasonal skins and more, have been added to the game.
This week, I was surprised to see a new feature announced and get patched into the game on a non-usual patch day.
Winterfest Gift Boxes are here! Well, almost. You can begin purchasing them on 12/15. A great gift for yourself or to send to a friend in-game.
The giftboxes offer a selection of useable items and resources within Splinterlands, plus a few surprises! Don't know which card to get your friend in-game as a gift? Problem solved, get them a gift box!

Not sure if I'll buy any of the gift boxes for myself but the giftable spellbooks is brilliant. When I first started playing it was something I took a while to decide whether it was worth paying the $10 to get started. I see this being giftable as a huge step forward.
