1.) Rent power on the last day of the season in order to move up a tier (or two) and earn more loot chests.
2.) Buy individual cards over packs if you're new. It's almost always much cheaper that way.
3.) Scan the marketplace often for deals on cards. Lot's of players list cards at the recommended price that the marketplace automatically generates, so it is often outdated or just much lower than it's current value. In Splinterlands yesterdays price is sometimes half of what it is today.
4.) Check the price of DEC often so you can be one of the first people to buy up cards in the marketplace before people catch on and delist them!
5.) You earn more DEC in battles as the price of DEC rises. DEC is meant to hold it's value, so it's algorithms are made to give out more as the price increases. Long story short, when DEC shoots up PLAY PLAY PLAY!
