I usually play quite quick and automated in order to complete the daily quests and rarely find the time to sit down and actually play the game properly. There is a lot that I can still optimize as I never really look at what my opponent played in previous matches. Trying to win a match including the Gelatinous Cube Certainly was a challenge and it took me a 7 game losing streak before getting a win with it.
The main reason I won that match on top was because my opponent was lower rank and didn't exactly played a strong line-up which even included a level 1 card. Battle Video Link
The rules of that particular match were Super Sneak and I played my Golden Furious Chicken at the end which gave the Gelatinous Cube automatically 1 life extra. I tend to go all out on the rules with my decks meaning I played the +1 Melee Fire Splinter with mostly Melee Cards. In the first position, I played Cerebrus Level 5 which I recently purchased. followed by 2 other cheap melee cards and the Fire Deamon which has the blast ability.
Overall I had an easy win, but the 7 games before that I felt I was in a real disadvantage because I pretty much forced the Gelatinous Cube onto the game rules.
Lesson Learned: I learned 1 major lesson today doing this challenge which is that triple heal can easily get countered with the Affliction and get you crushed. I haven't got any affliction cards myself but I will certainly keep on the lookout to get one of those.
I'm really liking this Weekly Battle Challenge initiative and it will be a great way to improve my own game and I'll be going through many of the posts to see how others play it successfully. I also plan to make a post on my Publish0x blog to hopefully get some more new players to join in.
Hello and welcome to the challenge!
The pain! I feel it just looking at your losing streak.
I'm finding that there are specific rulesets that work exceptionally well with The Cube and others that simply don't.
I love doing these battle challenges each week. Being able to see others' strategies makes my gameplay get stronger (probably). 😏
And my reason for this week's challenge was also because I tend to be pretty heavy on attack and ignore things without it. I'd overlooked The Cube so many times, not really knowing what to do with it, particularly because it had no attack.
This week, I'm learning I love it!
