With a new reward system in Splinterlands, I'm excited about the game again and decided to buy Conclave Arcana Packs to get more cards for my collection.
On October 9th, 2025, Splinterlands announced changes to ranked battle rewards and a new Reward Set. You can find all the information about these new features in the links below.

Before continuing to talk about Splinterlands and showing whether or not I was lucky with the packs, let's get to know Arcade Colony.
Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.
For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.
I'm playing Splinterlands, Moon Karts and StakeHouse Den. You'll find these 3 games on Arcade Colony and you can find many tips about them on my blog.

Let's get back to the main focus of the post and show if my investment in the Conclave Arcana Pack was a good decision.

To buy packs in Splinterlands you have the option of buying on the game's website or on Hive Engine. On the website you need to go to the SHOP option and then to Card Packs.

On this page you will find all the packs available for sale in Splinterlands, most of which you will buy from other players.

I have a little over 3000 DEC in my account and my original plan was to buy some DEC to buy the STANDARD pack, but my goal is to get as many cards as possible and since I currently don't have any from the Arcane Conclave edition, I decided to buy the STARTER pack, so I can buy 3 packs and receive 15 cards.
- Each pack in Splinterlands contains 5 cards, with 1 of rare or higher rarity.
The Arcane Conclave STARTER pack costs 1000 Credits or 1000 DEC. I will choose the DEC option because considering the current price of DEC, I will pay less than with the 1000 Credits option.

After purchasing the pack, you will need to open it. To do this, go to the OPEN option.

On this page, you will find the packs you own in Splinterlands and you will be able to open them.
An important detail about the Conclave Arcana STARTER pack is that it only contains common and rare cards. This is a major disadvantage of this pack, but since I don't have any cards from the Conclave Arcana edition and my luck is bad, I chose this option because, in my opinion, it was the best at the moment.
It is not possible to use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions in the Conclave Arcana STARTER pack because you don't receive Gold Foil or Legendary cards.

These were the cards I got from opening the packs, and I was very unlucky, but they will all be useful in my collection and are my first cards from the Conclave Arcana edition.
Why didn't I buy the cards on the market?
Some of the cards I wanted were expensive, and I was hoping to get them in the pack, but I wasn't so lucky. Another reason for opening the packs is that I enjoy the thrill of opening them, so I thought it would be interesting and fun to start my Conclave Arcana card collection that way.
Thanks for reading, and see you in my next post.
