First full season played in the game; some stats

This is my first full season spent in Splinterlands as I started playing the game less than a month ago.

Here are my stats:

Overall:

  • Important points to note here - I jumped to Gold III yesterday before that I spent 90% of my time in Silver II (and btw most of the losses I had were related to my struggle to get out of Bronze in the beginning of the season 😁 Bronze at the start of a new season is definitely harder than Silver III/Silver II later on), just before season end, to see if it was worth it (I had already read that it was not). Well... yeah.. it was definitely not worth it as I spent 3,600 credits on 1-day rentals to get the power to get me from Silver II to Gold III.

Here are the rewards I got for ending the season in Gold III:

Let's compare these to the rewards I got in my first season (of which I played the last 3-4 days) where I finished in Silver I, spending a lot less on rentals, btw:

I will dare to say that the Silver I rewards last season were definitely better as I got substantially more rare cards, and actually more cards overall (it is all based on luck of course but definitely shows that renting the additional 50,000 power is not justified at the current end-of-season rental market cost).

One of the most fun features of the game (at least for me) are the automated tournaments. I have been trying to engage in all affordable Novice/Bronze/Silver (with restrictions) tournaments I see on the tourney page. Here's how I've done:

I think I've done relatively well having in mind the fact that I'm new to the game and my collection is far from refined for any level of play. I use and have levelled up just the Chaos Legion summoners but I often get matched with people using Yodin, Lama, Kitty, etc. It's fair game of course, it is my fault I don't have all the allowed tools. 🤓

So here is what I have received after completing all available dailies for the season (95% of them in Silver II):

And the totals for DEC earned by winning games and ranked play rewards as a whole:

I have averaged just a bit over 1 DEC per win as a whole this season.

And last but not least - the SPS report:

Here is my current snapshot I earn SPS on:

I have bought a total of 200 packs so far, and I have opened 174 of them. I've decided not to open any more packs until all airdrops are available. I will keep buying whenever I have the funds and just keep stacking them for the time being. I had a bit more power initially - about 26,000 but I decided to sell off most of the gold foils and use the DEC to level up my summoners to level 3. I lost about 1.5K power in the process since the summoners do not provide as much power as most of the GF cards. They are supposedly really cheap now but still more expensive in terms of pure card power compared to the cheapest Chaos Legion GFs.
