This is a really well laid out video that covers a good amount of detail around the service as well as botting in general.
I think Bots are largely misunderstood in the general SL community because botting is just so taboo in other gaming spaces… but since botting is definitely allowed within Splinterlands there’s a number of considerations about what kind of bots are actually good for Splinterlands or not.
Hopefully, we’ve managed to craft a solution that is good for both Splinterlands Players and the community itself overall!
You mentioned in the video waiting for the general release tokens, and I think this can be a good option for the most price conscious of users - but it is worth noting that there are benefits to the Alpha and Beta tokens long term that the Standard tokens wont have. Details are covered in the white paper, but some key basic ideas:
- Alpha and Beta token holders get a discount on fees once the fee system is launched
- Alpha and Beta token holders are the most likely to get access to new features first and likely gain access to premium features we launch in the future either without any cost or at least at a reduced cost.
I don’t think it’s a bad decision to wait for a standard token by any means - but just so that people have the information they need to make a good decision, figured I’d add those notes :)
Quick FYI - On your ECR, running at 4x/hour you’ll see it level out at around 25% after a few days and then just stay there indefinitely - even if you don’t set an ECR minimum.
