Hello Splinterlands fam!
I hope you all are doing well in life and back enjoying the day with hour family and friends. Now for Splinterlands Players, I guess you are aware that another ranked season just ended, so if you have played in this ranked season actively, its time for you to collect your season-end Glint rewards. If you do not know, the splinterlands has also did a big announcement recently, as they are about to launch the conclave arcana edition reward cards. These cards can be earned via playing the ranked mode in both wild and modern and by completing daily quests. You can also buy these cards from card draws and chests using Glint tokens in the Reward shop. However, which the regular and gold foils will be available via these distribution methods, the black and arcane foils cards will be given out via draws. So, be ready to to chase the urge to build an upgraded Collection of these reward set, enough to support your playing level. Now, taking a look at the season timer, we have long 15 days in hand before this fresh new season meet its end, so start playing right now and also keep an eye on your battle energy meter for a balanced playing throughout the season and maximising reward earning.
Frontier Mode Progress
Now, talking about myself, I am continuing my mission on playing the Frontier mode daily and keep upgrading all my Foundation edition cards until they reach their max levels. With the ranked season, another Frontier season has also come to an end, and just like in the previous season, this season also I have finished at Gold league tier. As per the season reset, rule I am starting to play in this new season at the same Gold I league tier but with a reduced 2500 trophy count. Now for Frontier raffle entries, the last raffle ended a bit earlier than the season, and I think a synchronisation between these 2 events would have been nicer. Anyway, so far I have collected 9 raffle entries and have completed 2/3 reward missions of today’s quota.
Opening 37 Foundation Packs
Because of constantly playing in the Gold I league tier, I have been receiving 1 foundation pack per reward win, and so at max 3 packs per day, I have been getting a decent no increasing of my foundation packs. Just yesterday, after completing the reward missions, I reached a total of 37 Foundation packs in my collection, as you can see from the screenshot above. Now, I have been facing tougher opponents quite a lot lately, with them coming up with level 3 summoners and supporting cards, which have been giving me hard time to complete my reward mission. So, though I was thinking to complete collecting 100 packs first before opening them, I changed my decision and opened them all in order to enhance my collection a bit. Let me now share the outcome below without any further ado.
Outcome Anyalysis
If you follow the screenshots of the outcome thoroughly, you will find out that it is pretty decent and above average, as I got plenty of good rarity cards. From the lot, I received 4 Legendary cards, 9 Epic cards, 40 Rare cards and 134 Common rarity cards. From this outcome, I have received total 11 Summoners and 11 Gold cards. So, from opening only 37 packs, I would say I am quite surprised and it surely have soothed my pain of still not getting a rare foil card from the frontier raffle draw.
Foundation collection
Now, looking at my updated foundation card collection, I updated a handful of common, rare and epic cards after receiving this batch of cards. But sadly, I didn't get enough archon cards to upgrade any of them from level 2. At this point, all my Archon cards are level 2, so they will only support max level 3 common, level 2 rare, level 2 epic and level 1 legendary monster card levels. Now, even after upgrading all my cards, not all of them are now being supported by my archons, the best usable cards that I got after upgrading them all are my 2 level 2 epic cards. The water sneak magic monster Saltwater mage and the neutral 7 mana magic monster Lunaki Howler. Now, until I upgrade some of my archons to level 3 at least, which I am thinking to do pretty soon by buying some from market, I will be missing using my upgraded cards, especially the upgraded level 2 legendary cards.
Puchasing Legendary Cards
Yes, I have upgraded 2 of my legendary cards to level after buying the missing cards from the market. After opening the packs and upgrading foundation packs, when I looked closely, I found out that I can now upgrade 2 more very important cards by investing only a little. So, let’s take a look at which they are below.
LITTLE SISTER
The first one was Little Sister, the legendary type card from death element that costs 6 mana to be used in battles and possesses magic attack power with both the Life Leech and Flying abilities at its max level. For this card, I needed only 1 BCX which would cost me only 0.076$, as listed is the market. Now after upgrading it to level 2, which is the max level for legendary cards in the frontier mode, it is now flaunting 2 magic attacks at 2 speed with 3 health and both of those abilities unlocked.
GREAT BEARD DRUID
The other card that I upgraded is the Great Beard Druid, another Legendary type card but from the Neutral element. This well known monster costs a whopping 9 mana cost but possesses a deadly melee + magic attack combo type but with no abilities, even at its max level. Nut when you upgrade this monster to level 2, it receives an increased 2 melee and 1 magic attack at a decent 3 speed with a large 6 health at its max level 2. Now, for this legendary card also, I needed only 1 BCX to reach level 2, that would cost me only 0.090$. So, without thinking much, I immediately bought both the cards and upgraded them to level 2.
