Hey Splinterlands fans, it's time to make my second Splinterlands post for this week to take part in the Community Engagement Challenge, and it's an exciting topic this week because the task is to make a post about the new reward set that's set to be launched at October 21st!
For this week’s Community Engagement Challenge, we want to hear from you:
Which part of the new Conclave Arcana Reward system excites you most—and how do you think it will change the ranked meta?
To find out how you can participate in the challenge yourself, check out the official Splinterlands post here.
Before I start, I want to thank @cherokee4life for sharing the PNG images for a couple of the new characters for the other guild members to use.

What will happen to the 'old' reward set?

So, we currently only have ONE reward set - the Rebellion set with the well known characters like Commander Slade and Quilliun Legionary, when the new Conclave Arcana set launches this Rebellion set will be out of print, meaning you can no longer earn them or buy them for the glint you have, so think carefully what you still need and plan ahead!
The Rebellion reward set will still be available to be played in the Modern League because it's part of the Rebellion set.

New set details
The new set has 43 new cards:
- 12 Common
- 12 Rare
- 7 Epic
- 12 Legendary cards
The detailed post can be found here.
The Rebellion set was 100% soulbound, meaning you could not sell your earned cards like we could in the past, this was done to fight to massive exploits the bot farms made in the past, now we no longer have those kind of problems a change has been made:
- Regular Foil cards will still be soulbound
- Special Foil types, such as Gold and Black Foils are unlocked so you could sell them if you want.
BUT you might want to think twice about selling those shiny beauties because all special foils have a limited print number, so they will be much more scarce so probably more valuable as well
IF you want to unlock your Regular Foil from the soulbound lock, you can do this by using unbinding scrolls which you can buy with DEC, create with land resources or earn in chests.

Fortune Draws
This is a really great kind of lottery based on the league you play as well as your SPS stake and by how much you play, because you need to earn those sweet entries by winning ranked battles either in Modern or Wild.
In the Fortune Draws the Black Foil and Black Foil Arcane cards can be won, which can only be earned in this way.
Players will need to have a spellbook for this as well as pay an entry fee of 125 DEC every week.

Which part of the new Conclave Arcana Reward system excites you most?
I'm really excited for the way we can earn entries, by being active and win ranked battles, of course in Wild this can also be done by the bot winning battles for you.
Right now although I own a competitive Silver deck which I'm currently fighting with in Gold 1, I also play the Free 2 Play Frontier Mode just because it's fun to grind the battles and earn the daily rewards, slowly growing my Frontier Deck.

With the new cards I will have a new purpose to grind my Modern battles again, I am still playing them to earn glint to prepare for the new set and earn as much SPS as possible but my Rebellion reward set is at the max level for Silver, where I'm playing at.

The only drawback I see for this is the SPS Staking required amounts are really far from each other, especially for smaller players, there's a big difference in owning 25,000 or 50,000 and even at current low price, it's a $175 difference, even more crazy as higher you go, between 100k and 250k is a $1050 gap - I would've liked to see a more tiered system so hopefully that's something that's going to be implemented later or just something I'm understanding the wrong way, what I mean is when I stake 40k for example, why can't I earn 5 entries?

Conclusion
The Conclave Arcana Reward Set is bringing a fresh wave of excitement to Splinterlands. With new mechanics, Fortune Draws, and the return of tradable special foils, the ranked battles are about to feel more rewarding than ever.
One thing is certain — the new cards will stir up the meta, forcing players to rethink strategies, experiment with new lineups, and put their brains to work once again. And with the updated reward system, we might just rediscover that same spark of joy we felt in the past when pulling one of those special foiled cards from a chest.
Get ready, Summoners — a new era of magic and strategy is about to begin!

Agree the SPS staking curve could be a little easier or at least more steps to encourage people to strive for the next level of entries, I am not able to throw down 150,000 sps for 4 extra entries but I may be happier adding 35,000 for 1 or at least working towards that.
