My Experience with SPS Delegations... Saved by PeakM!

in Splinterlands11 months ago

Because I rent all my rentable cards out I don't have any use for my SPS, so I've been delegating it all to other players, and so far so good.

In this early phase you're limited to one period of delegation - 7 days and you currently have to remember to manually cancel said delegations, otherwise the players you've delegated to effectively get a period of a free-delegation.

I have a theory this is why so many accounts are asking for several small delegations rather than fewer larger ones: cast the delegation request-net wide and I guess there's more chance that delegators will simply forget to cancel, which I guess is more likely for smaller delegations also.

The problem with this is the interface gets flooded with lots of smaller requests, meaning you have to scroll down for a while to fill larger delegations.

I ignore such small amounts because I've got almost 500K SPS to delegate out, I've had to set myself a lower limit of several thousand SPS per delegation otherwise I'm having to do multiple manual transactions for every batch I want to cancel and then redelegate every seven days or so.

Thank you PeakM

I was delighted to see @peakmonsters have got on the case quickly with their 'rent tokens' option, and CRUCIALLY their FILTER option so you can filter out all the low SPS requests....

PeakM also allows you to select and fill multiple bids at once, although ATM you still have to confirm each individual tx using KeyChain separately, but I am sure that is just for now!

A steady 10% return... (but declining...?)

Thus far I'm settling for renting out at 0.007 DEC per SPS, I've had a few got out for between 0.008 and even 0.01, but most are going at the 0.007 rate, which is a return of around 10%, which isn't too shabby on top of the 18% ish return you currently get for staking SPS too.

Although ATW I see that 0.004 SPS per DEC is the current ask price after one juicy 200 000K request at only 0.006, so maybe we'll be looking at a 7% return rather than 10% in the future... it's still easy money I guess!

Great, I am renting out mine too. I am looking for the ,08 ones. It is nice to know there is a filter to rent out the low ones too!

Rent it get dec then add to the v3 lps on pancake or uni ive been getting 50-300% on pancake for DEC BUSD

Maybe a good time to get into those pools now Decs getting on for being stable!

But I'm wary of BUSD - it's being phased out so careful!

Oh ya ive been out of busd now and using the usdt/dec and usdc/dec v3 lps with a bit wider than i was using and some on the high side only to catch the higher spikes and its done about 30-40% according to the ROI calc but i need to actually calc it to but will be doing all that soon and just automating a bunch of shit i have a fucking list lol. Mostly been messing with uniswap and pancake swap to long wbtc/weth wbtc/usdc and weth/usdc with the final positions to have short btc and eth micro futures on a traditional exchange as well as short lps on GMX to catch the funding rate on that and be able to minimize the risk of any real impermanent loss or other price related losses. Also want to get a flash loan bot going to add a bit extra arbitrage but that will take a bit for me to actually learn how the hell to do that lol. Deff need to start learning a bit of coding have a lot of interesting ideas that get a lot more interesting if i can code lol.

Auto solutions are optimal!

FYI you can Fill SPS rental bids from https://monstermarket.io/delegations to receive 60% of the fee back to you.

OK thanks for letting me know!

I think its AQL now I believe cryptoeater bought it will have to ask him if that still works the same way.

Right now I'm not getting much maybe like 4-5% but depends on when get it at what price dec is later and depending on what is done with it as well. I have been adding to the usdc/dec v3 lps and may add some to the v2 pool as well as the usdt/dec lp v3. I think after i migrate my runi over to my land and get the rest i want up running then pull some of the dec staked to sell in the lps as well since I would rather hold runi vs dec locked. Have like 6 i won should have been 11 but i got boned being stupid lol.

So many options, how come you missed out on the Runi..?

5 got stolen

Oh shit they're valuable things to lose!

was my fault clicked a drainer thing lucky i separated most things just not the runi lol FML but overall winning the 6 for min out of pocket costs after flipping like 40K plus chaos packs so probably about what would have bought the 6 for but would have been nice to have 11 which now id prob sell 6 or so and keep 5 for land. For now all are going to land as they probably are one of the best things to have for it.

I'm beginning to lose my patience with the later!

There are lot of bots account also, they need only 100 SPS delegation and so.

Can Peakd is able to cancel the delegation/return also?

Hi - PeakM - yes you can!

That would be a nice feature. Im guessing there is a way to code this and ppl have already developed but obv are not prob giving it away or there goes the advantage
