don't really think it helps against bots, because the bots rent cards for the power anyway or many bots are also from whales who equip their bots themselves anyway, apart from that bots are after boxes anyway and not really the dec..

I would have to disagree in part. In the silver league, it seems like 90% of the games are bots. If they were only after the boxes you would think they would stop at quest completion/season end. Instead they constantly drain the DEC pool with countless games per day, often less than a minute between matches. I'd love to see the earnings of a silver level bot.

why not take the dec too? the prio are the boxes 100%, account is paid why not keep running endlessly for dec, free is free ;)

as long as enough dec comes in to pay the rent, the bots will continue to run.
maybe they better adjust their rentals, but already many do, see many bots just rent the starter cards in lvl 2-3

I agree. Bots will just adjust to the rules set in place. For example: Starter cards will no longer give rewards for wins, the bot owners will stop using starter cards.
Bots are in most games weather people know about them or not. Splinterlands in the past had not worried about them and the game has grow fine. Unless they have become a issue now, I don't see the point in wasting resources on combating them. Better to focus on more constructive things like lands for example. Maybe it just me but that would make more sense.

Splinterlands is the best blockchain project.
99% you can't do anything but increase coins.
Here is least fun and excitement, not just numbers (cash) where multiplies.
Above all, not just pumping coins. Such things have no future where only profit counts. Just great Splinterlands.
Respect to the whole team. best people
Thank you for your work.
The team must not be forced to disclose what assets they have. Private finish. Definitely doesn't look like they want to cheat on their own work.
I see what people do and they live the thing.
Trust is hard in a world where all cheats.
I trust @Aggroed and the team.
Best regards and keep it up :-)

I'm onboard with the ghost cards not earning rewards but its not a fix for the economic drain that keeps pushing asset prices down. To hear the creator of the economy @yabapmatt say it's great for someone to come in and build an army of 10k bots as long as they put a little money into the economy is a little shocking to me.

The point in an army of bots is always going to be to remove more than they add to the economy and to do it in a way that ultimately pushes the margins lower for everyone else as the efficiency of farming the game goes up. If playing the game makes a penny per day for them, they will run 10k bots to exploit that penny while the average player who can't work as quickly and efficiently and duplicate the efforts to make a penny worth it, will quit.

This will continue to push asset prices down like we've been seeing for months. It will push human players out of the rental markets and giving them no reason to buy.

You might think bots renting is a good reason to buy but if the asset you buy keeps going down in value and the asset you receive for the rental (DEC) keeps going down in value then buying will never be a good options. If buying was a good option, the bot accounts would be buying.

Making bots rent more cards slows the bleeding. It doesn't stop the bleeding and it certainly doesn't start the healing.

Do things to increase the value of Dec and this game will come back. Simple things. Increase the minimum rental price from .1 to 1 dec. Sell the next pack in only Dec instead of SPS. Tell people the peg going back to .001 is not your goal (because it shouldn't be). Don't double the rewards pool if you aren't doubling your players or requiring double the CP. And for everyone's sake, build a better strategy around card releases. Flooding the market repeatedly is a bad strategy. You're not a kickstarter campaign anymore so stop selling cared like you are. There are better ways that are more fun, pull in at least the same amount of cash, and encourage playing the game while getting people more into lore.

Actually, what is really harming the game are the bots and in their obsession with being a decentralized game and not wanting to ban them, they take measures that really do not harm the bots, I think they harm real people and as long as they do not stop the bleeding as you say, they really go the same problems keep coming up. The issue of continually releasing packs of cards is another problem, if they don't let the supply be absorbed, they will never increase in value for those who invest in the game, they already fill their pockets with millions of dollars in each sale of packs.

As I listened to the AMA and heard @yabapmatt say over and over again that all he thinks about is the player to player economy and adding value to assets without enriching themselves all I could think of was how many choices they make that do the exact opposite of that.

If my card collection going form $200k to $50k is them working to build value, I'm begging them to please stop bringing me value. PLEASE STOP.

@yabapmatt Please for the love of god. Stop adding supply. The creation of supply is not the same as the creation of value.

The background artwork looks amazing!

If the Splinterlands Team would only allow ranked battles for accounts that have ID verified it would be way to end the multi accounts

what about decentralization? lol.... multiple account is not the problem, problem is bot....

Higher leagues will have much higher rewards

Please stop nerfing rewards for new real players! They need some progression to retain retention of new players.

It already takes roughly a year of playing daily to get out of brons league.

I know its play 2 earn and not free 2 play, but new players need to feel rewarded from playing.
The increase of card rewards for example was really nice!! People got the feeling they get a better deck everytime they get a new card. But new players almost get no chests anymore.

ps. Once new players finally level up a card to lvl 2, they notice they can't play with a lvl 2 card without buying a lvl 2 summoner, so no progression. And high chance they are frustrated with no progress for weeks that they will leave.

There is the idea, in investing from the beginning to go up to higher leagues, if they do not give better rewards to higher leagues, there is no incentive to invest and go up, currently at today's prices, going up to the silver league does not cost more than 300-500$ and you can have 3-4 practically complete decks, in August with the crypto fomo when many people entered to have a single silver deck it was 2000$

Lol Ghost cards are the real problem? You kidding me?

Bots farming are the problem and they all have Gold Chaos legion cards moving from a bot to an other when ecr goes down

Parecen cambios en la buena direccion,
alguna noticia sobre mejoras para los Clanes??
los clanes de splinterland necesitan un poco de amor!!!😉

So deeply in love with all your team is doing here, can't express my gratitude enough for all the hard work, personal and collective vision you all are so committed to. My own level of commitment has inspired a post on bots as it seems to be a very relevant issue, eye will leave the link to it here as it feels relevant to do so, so much love to you all and so much support from myself and the Hunab-Kru, we are with you all the way.

Love the new eye candy, big part of the experience and that coupled with new reward structure will bring this to a new level. Soooooon

For years, bots have not been a problem, now they are a problem. Are you sure? Maybe the problem is the team that builds the economy of the game? The game wins great while the real players who registered last year only lose.
The coming changes will make things worse because they don't really change anything for bots. They will adapt to the changes, while new real players will find it increasingly difficult to progress. Cheers for that!
