Greetings all reading this Battle Challenge post. This week we are using the "Regal Peryton" card. Take a look at the stats
The first thing about this cards' statistics that I didn't like was the fact that it only has one special ability. But having used this card in many battles,in my opinion, it gives the "flying" ability a great name. This is also contributed to by an overlooked statistic, it's speed. Speed contributes to more than what order of attack in the lineup this character moves, it also adds to the amount of attacks that can be missed by the enemy. You'll notice this card has a speed of 5 from level 1. I've nearly lost battles until this card hit front position. Once up front it seemed as though the enemy couldn't touch me. Let's look at my Battle, Ruleset and Lineup for this week.
League:Silver
Ruleset:Earthquake &
Equal Opportunity
Mana Cap:30
Splinters:Earth VS Earth
The Battle setup made"Regal Peryton" a perfect choice in the lineup. Since the rulesets include both "Earthquake" (all cards not using "flying" ability take damage at the end of each round) and "Equal Opportunity" (all cards will attack the enemy with the lowest health first) you'll need a flying card that is fast enough to get the first shot off. The "Regal Peryton" does just that. But let's also look at the rest of my "Lineup".

My Summoner
Obsidian
Additional Attributes:
+1 Magic attacks
My Monsters
Pelacor Mercenary
Regal Peryton
Runemancer Florre
Mycellic Morphoid
Fungus Fiend
My strategy here was to use enough strong "flying" cards to deal damage plus a couple of weak cards to take some damage. Since all cards are bound to the "Equal Opportunity" ruleset the enemy will attack my decoys first. (Mycellic Morphoid and Fungus Fiend)
I had no intentions on either of those cards actually attacking, they were simply used to attract the attacks of the enemies for as long as possible. But as I expected, my "Regal Peryton" had the highest speed in the Battle. So first shot, aimed at the weakest enemy and it's already 1 attacker down for the enemy team. The way this battle plays out is so smooth you would think I planned the double attack by "Runemancer Florre" to send magic at one enemy and then use range on the enemy that has "Reflect". But to be honest it was all luck of timing. Follow my link below and you'll see one very nice looking victory in my opinion. For the "Earthquake" ruleset the combination of "Pelacor Mercenary" and "Regal Peryton" tend to take a lot of wins. You may want to consider it for your next battle in an earthquake. Thank you for reading my post, all support, tips and follows will be returned accordingly.
